Finally got confirmation that Mr SA is excused jury service next month, it's taken weeks! Thank goodness he doesn't have to do it, what a logistical nightmare that would be.
I have also had notification of the first "Friends of" the park across the road meeting so will go and see what that's all about. It's at a local pub early evening, can imagine Mr SA will have something to say about that.
Had what looks like a scam text supposedly from NHS saying I hadn't applied for my Covid pass and would be fined if I didn't with a link to click on. Deleted it but it did prompt me to go on the proper NHS website and apply for both mine and Mr SA's passes. We will need them for Lanzarote anyway so might as well get them.
The blind has been fitted and I'm really pleased with it.
As the weather is so lovely and sunny here today, took the dog for a very long walk at lunchtime instead of the park across the road.
On the money front shuffled an oddment of £8.20 to the Christmas pot and £280 to the holiday pot.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)6 -
It’s very dull and cloudy here. I’ve got blue sky envy.
the ‘friends of’ meeting sounds like man ideal opportunity to get to know people 👍January spends - £587.585 -

Morning, happy Thursday.
I need to go to Lidl later today, only got 3 slices of bread left so Mr SA will think he's being starved as he usually has 4 pieces of toast for his breakfast 😐 I only have to spend £12 to qualify for the £10 off voucher and looking at my shopping list I'll easily do that.
Today's exercise is the very long walk to Lidl and back plus Pilates or yoga after work, I really need some stretching after all the high impact sessions I've been doing this week.
Tonight's dinner is the other half of the Thai veggie curry with the rest of the rice. Mr SA is having his favourite sausages and mash in a giant Yorkshire pudding.
Another live WW cookalong tonight, looking forward to that.
The bald patch on the kitten's back has got bigger. DD thinks it's where I put the flea treatment and it's not a bite from the older cat. I wonder if she's had some sort of reaction to it?I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)3 -
@Sun_Addict Could you phone the vet to ask about it? I think you got that treatment from the vet so they should know whether it's likely to cause that in a young cat. Some of the stuff you can get from Pets at Home can be really harmful. I pay £24 quid a month for flea and other treatment for one of the cats while I get flea treatment for the other one from Republic of Cats. My heart is always in my mouth that I'm going to damage one cat or drive myself into the poorhouse with the other one. Could it be ringworm? I used to teach children who had that...Credit card One :£926.60( Oct 21 )(Nov 21 vet bill disaster), £999(Jan 22), £974(Feb 22)

I was lucky enough to pick up the last £1.50 fruit/veg box in Lidl this lunchtime. It contained a melon, lettuce, cabbage, a bag of carrots, a big bag of potatoes and 6 massive bulbs of garlic. I spent enough to qualify for the £10 voucher.
Lovely and sunny again so hoping the washing I pegged out will be dry.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)6 -

Another small money saving win - I got a call from V Media technical department, totally out of the blue, asking if my recently installed new Tivo box was ok and that I was happy with their services etc. I said I wasn't very happy about my bill going up in March so he put me through to customer retentions. The upshot is they've given me a discount for the next 18 months so I will be paying slightly less per month than I am now and it won't be going up in March. I was already planning on ringing them for a better deal so this is a frog dealt with unexpectedly. If I'd been better prepared I could've possibly got a better deal but I have looked around elsewhere and can't find anything cheaper for comparable services to haggle with so I'm happy to accept the new deal. It's only saved me £6.70 a month but any saving is better than nothing.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)8
