I started my new book this morning, got one of the bookshelves that's been there for years Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn. I haven't seen the film, don't know why I've kept putting off reading the book. I'm on a mission this year to read the books that have been on the shelves for ages. I keep a spreadsheet of all the books I've got to read and started putting the date I bought/acquired them on it so I know the undated ones have been there the longest. I also have tabs on this spreadsheet for listing the books I've read with a brief synopsis and scores out of 10. I do love a good list 😄
This really mead my heart sing…. As I have spreadsheets and I use the Goodreads App with yearly challenge.
I am also trying to read through books on my shelf although I do seem to be acquiring them as well !
I’m a member of the Samaritans book club - which is providing me with lots of different books to read.
I have read Gone Girl rated it a 4/5 seemed to remember I was surprised how much I enjoyed it - not seen the film

Do you know if the Goodreads App can be made to register "real" books as well as downloaded ones?

Today should finally be NSD 2/15 for January. No plans to go anywhere or buy anything.
Today's to do list:
Spanish
Exercise: short strength workout, short stretch workout, 1 minute plank and 20 crunches at least twice, lunchtime dog walking
Cleaning - main bedroom and spare bedroom
Tonight's dinner will be garlic and herb dusted sole with lots of veg. Mr SA is having his usual Friday fare of fish, chips and mushy peas (daren't variate from that, would never hear the last of it 😆)
Mr SA announced he had Covid last night and went to bed early. Will see how he goes today and make him take a test if concerned. He's always got something wrong with him so it's hard to tell.
I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)
As we say in Scotland, Mr SA is a wee scone .....or a puir wee soul. (Easy to say when the management of him is not my responsibility)🙄

I haven’t been of a mind to read recently- I used to love a good book. But my worse scenario would be to list what I’d read 😂😂😂😂😂 good job were not all alike 😂😂😂
@still_hopeful - exactly the majority of mine are all real and are also categorised on which shelf in the house, kindle, library, given to charity 🤣
@milann - I’m glad we are all not the same - I would always encourage somebody just to pick up the book for the love of reading 😀
