Hope you had a lovely time with gks. It’s been heavy rain all day until about an hour ago when it stopped and the sun appeared briefly just in time for it to go dark 😏

I got soaked this morning out shopping. I’ve bought 4 books today, the one with The Mail and 3 from the Charity shop 😬 My bookshelves are never going to go down at this rate. I’m buying them faster than I read them. The dog wouldn’t go out in the rain this morning, she ran off when I got her lead out. Thankfully by the time the GKs had gone it was dry and she got a good run on the park.
The GKs arrived in their new, not sure what they’re called “oodies”? Whatever they’re called Mr SA wants one and keeps going on about going into town tomorrow to look for one. Absolutely no way!!DS picked up some more garden stones on his way to ours. I had no idea Mr SA had arranged this with him. Thankfully I was able to reimburse him via PayPal. Mr SA thought I’d have the cash on me 🙄DD came out with a gem today. She complained there was no room in the kitchen freezer and said ‘you’ve got your own freezer outside’. So she thinks the one in the kitchen is hers 😬
Mr SA’s ailments today are feeling sick and his knee hurts.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)6 -
Sun_Addict said:I looked at the good reads app but it seemed more like a competition of how many books you can read in a year. I like to read at my own pace and enjoy the book rather than rush it. It’s a good way of having your books read list handy though.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free Wannabe, Budgeting and Banking and Savings and Investment boards. Morning, happy Sunday.
Got up early today as Mr SA woke me up at 5am moaning about the kitten being noisy then went on to moan about the rain overnight. I didn’t hear a thing. Of course he’s now back fast asleep. On the oodie front, he’d wear it a couple of times then declare it too hot like the dressing gown he wanted then didn’t wear. He’s pestered on several occasions for a onesie but have firmly put my foot down. Not with his incontinence problems. It’s me who has to deal with the aftermath. Will need to take the dog out today, probably just across the road to the park or maybe a long street walk. Because everywhere is so muddy at the moment we have to pick places suitable for Mr SA and his scooter which rules a lot of the nicer places out.
Apart from that I will be meal planning from cookery books/stores, doing some Spanish and reading my book. Might even do a bit of decluttering.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)6 -
For a onesie to work you’d need a flap in the bottom like old fashioned long johns 😁

The dog got a good long street walk before lunchtime and 13,000 steps for me, a few very steep hills climbed too, no need to pay out for a gym when you live around here 🤣
The kitten is on heat yet again and driving us all mad. Time to get her booked in for the chop I think.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)5
