We have people at work who have refused to have their jabs. They are the ones now complaining that they won't be able to go to the football. It's their own choice.3 -

Boosters done, Lidl shop done. Didn’t go for a drink as Mr SA has royally p****d me off. He broke the zip on his new gilet and started on the poor me I’ve got no coats etc. On the way back from Lidl he went on and on and on about going into town tomorrow to get him a new coat. I really don’t want to go, I might not feel like it because of the jab, and I have so much to do at home I could do without it. I’ve been mega busy at work and I just want to stay home this weekend. Managed to shut him up by saying I’d buy him a decent coat online for Christmas. Found an ideal one with poppers as well as a zip and they do a longer length for tall men, good reviews saying really warm. Showed it him and it’s not the one he wants, he wants that flimsy bomber jacket he saw in Primark last time we went in town. It’s too short for him and is really thin. It will just end up with all his other coats in the coat graveyard in the cupboard under the stairs. I’m so cross with him 🤬I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)4

Oh no, stay strong SA. Town will be busy on a Saturday before Christmas and even masks and boosters can’t save everyone from getting ill before the holidays. There are zipper replacement things on Amazon that you can just clip on to an existing zip when the pull up and down bit breaks. I’m not sure how good they are, but if they worked you could maybe save a lot of his broken coats? I had a bomber jacket at middle school, it was so thin and nylony it was like wearing a repurposed parachute…I remember wearing it one spring when it went from sunny to snow and I nearly froze to death walking home…it’s a no from me 😬Not all who wander are lost - J.R.R.Tolkien

We came to a compromise. Found him a jacket he really liked on Amazon that was padded but still a style he liked. It’s his Christmas present, he knows that.We also had a bit of a ding dong about the fact I’d like to go to my cousin’s funeral. He doesn’t want me to go. His words “why do you want to go traipsing all that way for someone you haven’t seen for years” 😡
Definitely no trip to town tomorrow as, according to the media, the East Midlands and London are the epicentre of Omicron 😱I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)4 -
Mr SA does take the biscuit! It’s all about him all the time isn’t it? If you want to go to your cousin’s funeral to pay your respects then you GO!😡Finally Debt Free! - July 2016 🌟

He doesn't want you to go anywhere, a funeral is just another on his list.
I hope you find the strength to do what's right for you.4 -
Prior to his illness I can’t tell you the number of weddings, birthday parties, etc I had to make excuses for because he didn’t want to go. I regret that now. I won’t ever let him stop me doing anything ever again. I’ve missed out on a lot because of him.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)7
