Another day another dollar. The two worst days of the week ticked off :)

Trying to get back to my housework plan in the week, last night cleaned the bathroom, tonight it was the dining room and living room. If I can keep on top of it I won't have to do it all in one go at the weekend - in theory anyway. It doesn't take me long if I break it into manageable chunks.

Mr SA has made a start on fitting the edging bricks around the borders in the garden. He's limited to how much he can do but is doing a little bit every day. His knee is getting better too thankfully.

Got my tax code notification today - back to normal, hooray :)

Holiday tickets came today via email :)

    Another AFD too :)

    Wednesday done :)

Pilates done, bathroom cleaned again, about to do a mid week finances check. New budget starts Monday and must get back on track, having the extra money has thrown me off course a bit, been buying bits and bobs here and there. Must make sure there's enough left to do the living room decorating, get an aerial, new TV, burglar alarm and pay for the cat's dental treatment.

Mr SA has done a little bit more to the garden.

On a less positive note, Mr SA has been driving me mad with his incontinence issues. I've spent a lot of money trying to make the house look nice and he's ruining it by having accidents. This morning I got up for work and could smell urine. I didn't really want to mention it but I can't talk about it to anyone in RL. This is why I'm forever cleaning. I bought a Vax steam mop recently and it's been worth its weight in gold. I went over all the carpets to freshen them up - even though they're all brand new! I'm paranoid about someone coming here and smelling it :(

Does Mr SA recognise that he has an issue with it?
If so worth a chat with the district nurse/& or the incontinince nurse?
    They can help :)

SA can you get him to try Tenna Pants for men? They're just like underpants to wear, but save an awful lot of distress. My OH has to wear them and says they're really comfortable.

Does the beer add to the likelihood of accidents?

Thanks all. He's already seen the incontinence nurse and was given some urinal bottles to keep, close by which he does use if he has to. Sometimes he can't get to them quick enough. He was also given some pads but won't use them. The Tena pants might be worth a look though. I think the beer doesn't help, he drinks lager which is well known for making you wee. He shouldn't really be drinking with his brain issues but nothing I say will stop him. He does a weird thing where he opens a can, pours it in the glass then immediately opens another can. He always leaves a full glass of beer then puts it in the fridge for the next day. It just goes flat.

Anyway, that aside, seriously hot today, have spent most of the day sweating. Went out for a drink with my new team this lunchtime and we sat outside the pub, my wine glass was red hot! Have booked next Friday off as I'm going out with some of my old team for a long lunch and catch up, really looking forward to it.

Got a real bargain in Mr S today - a jacket I'd had my eye on reduced from £30 to £9. Hard to think about wearing a jacket in this heat but I'm sure I'll need it at some stage :)

Thank goodness it's Friday tomorrow, got to take the cat back to the vets for her last vaccination and talk about the dental work. Saturday we're taking the grandkids to the local fair. Sunday I'm relaxing, not negotiable!
