Age-related Cognitive Decline And Basic Numerical Skills

I reserved a place and attempted to start.  Instead of the 'usual' Study full this notice said:

    "Experiment not available

Participant ID missing from inbound URL.

Please cancel the task on Prolific."

Does anyone know what it means when Participant ID is missing from the inbound URL - my Prolific User ID seems to be O.K?

I had this one and completed it no problem.

I was offered it in the late morning, and did not take it up because I didn't have time before preparing our mid-day meal;  but when I was offered it again in the afternoon it worked fine.  I rather enjoyed it!

Yes it was quite good fun wasn't it. I thought there was going to be way more of the hearts and flowers than it turned out given the amount of instructions about how to complete that part of the tasks.

A study about individual behavior Copy Copy Copy Copy Copy

Anybody else do this one? Seems to screen within the study (it basically asked 'do you have a mentor?' I said no and it ended the study), I read the question fully as well in case it was an attention check.

Update: I nocoded it and it got approved!

Just wondering if other people are having problems with the cash out notification email coming through? The money has gone into the account but no email.

I have never had any e-mails from Prolific ever - not about anything.  All the e-mails are selected in my preferences list and I've tried turning them off and on but to no avail.  I've given up now.  The payments always go through, I presume I've just never been put on the list.

I almost always get an e-mail immediately, but now and again I haven't had one (and it wasn't in my spamtrap).

After reserving a place and attempting to start the message, as prewarned, came up.

"If you get a message telling you there are no credits left, please do not continue with the experiment, as there is a risk you will complete it without your data saving".

I messaged the Researcher but, so far, received no reply.

It looks as if the only option is to Return the Study.  When I reserved a place there were a number of places left.  Has anyone else had this with this study?

    Venture investment decision making

In this study, you will read two venture proposals and then decide if you would like invest in those ventures.

There was a lot of reading at the start of this study, and then a page of questions, one of says:

"Please rank order the 8 questions below you would choose to ask Greg, with 1 being the highest priority and 8 being the least priority. "

However, then my responses were rejected with "No more than 4 choice(s) may be answered."

Neither attempting to re-order the items, nor refreshing the page, had any effect - it was always rejected.  I messaged the researcher but got no reply, so I had no option but to return the study, and have reported it to Prolific as faulty, and said that I had spent so long trying to get it to work that I felt entitled to the full payment.  No response so far, of course.
