I'd expect it to be rejected in those circumstances. maybe another prolific blip?

Forecasting the Future of Our Planet: Your Predictions Needed (Part 3)

    By Zach Jacobs

    £4.76 • £12.22/hr

    23 mins

    643 places

Based on your performance in a recent forecasting survey, we would like to invite you to another (shorter) forecasting survey.

This survey explores your opinions on a very high-stakes policy debate. How serious are the threats to the survival of humanity in this century? And how much should government spend to reduce these threats?

We expect the survey, which consists of 6 complex forecasting questions, each with multiple parts. We expect the survey to take roughly 30 minutes to complete.

Another prediction study that was a fair bit shorter than the others I have completed and so lower paid.

I am pretty slow at completing studies, but I was able to easily complete this study in under 20 mins if I had not intentionally pause at the last prediction for a while and used the back button to check my answers.

Hung on whilst looking at the stopwatch until the 23 minute mark and was paid immediately when submitted.

Before anyone says it - I took the study very seriously and gave considered answers to the best of my ability, I just think I am getting better at these after completing so many recently.

The politics prediction studies before and after the recent local elections were my favourite so far. (different researcher)

If you see it, try and secure a place - easy money :)

At lunchtime yesterday I logged on, never normally do but found four studies, two of them were really interesting and from the same researcher.  They were much quicker than the time expected and paid immediately.  Really engaging studies and a good pay rate.

If that was the 'flower gifting survey' by Oliver Delevingne - then yes I've been paid for that.  'Language experiment' by Stanford - not been paid yet.

I've not been paid for the flowers one. The researcher hasn't responded to my message about it, either 🙁

I have not been paid for The flower gifting survey and it is still showing as Returned.

The ones, completed but disappeared before I realized and didn't know how to identify them, are still missing.

On a positive note, I have had three short Studies between yesterday and today and two have been paid.

The Researcher for the Flower one has also not responded to my message.

I had been paid for the Flower survey as I was able to submit, after a fashion.  I've also received a small general adjustment of £1.36, after receiving the e-mail from Prolific below:

    Thanks for your continued patience.

I’m pleased to announce that we have successfully completed the retrospective remuneration for the participants affected by Tuesday’s incident (based on the time spent on the submission). This includes all returned or timed-out submissions.

If you believe your submission has been missed, please reply to us here with as much information as possible and we can investigate this further.
  • I have clicked the "Report Study" again explaining the problem and giving them the Completion Code again.  To be fair, I sent a copy to the Researcher of the "Flower" Study although, having ignored my previous messages confirming that I did nor Return the Study, I am not too optimistic about a reply from The researcher.

Hopefully Prolific will look into it but, as for the others which went missing after completion before I kept note of the Study details - I'll just have to write them off.

Got this email from Prolific “ Dear participant,

Trouble is my affected  survey on animal diseases is still showing as timed out despite completing it long before it ran out of time but just couldn’t get it to fully complete at the end after getting the completion code.
