I've had exactly the same problem with the Flower one, Slinky.  I received a completion code then 'everything' disappeared.  Now I keep receiving notifications:  "New Study Available on Prolific" and it's always the Flower one.  

After a struggle I managed to send a message to the Researcher but, so far, no reply.

This really is weird:  I checked and the message I sent to the Researcher, The Gifting &Flower Gifting Survey has, inexplicably, gone to a completely different Researcher. 

There is no record of my completed Gifting & Flower Gifting Survey at all and nowhere to see the message I sent to the original Researcher.

had the same study and same result. Messaged researcher and Prolific. Not expecting much

Oh well, I have at least had a £6 survey with a £5.78 bonus today which paid out quickly. It was a followup to one I did before that I had technical problems as their servers couldn't cope with the volume. Glad I stuck with it then, it appeared to be the same survey again today which ran much better this morning before all the problems which seem to have started this afternoon.

I tried to send a message to Prolific but, without the Researchers' details the message would not send.  Does this mean that Prolific won't  know about my missing submissions and associated problems today?

Whatever the problems were, they seem to have been sorted out - I have completed two studies this morning without incident (and one was paid instantly).

I'm  still having problems and one, even with a completion code yesterday bus missing from submissions, changed today and is there but is now showing as "Returned."

When there have been problems, as happened yesterday,  are we likely to hear anything from Prolific about missing submissions?

I've just completed my first 'successful' Study - 6 minutes  90 pence and awaiting review now.  Very pleased that, so far, things seem to be back to normal today.

Yes, all seems to be working fine now, I've done one study this morning which was paid instantly but more importantly the right screens came up at the right time - not constantly changing like yesterday. 
I've also had a returned (wrongly returned) study paid out - it came up on my submission page as 'manual completion' and the status has changed from returned to approved, so it looks like everything is sorting itself out.

Prolific Support posted this on Reddit around an hour ago, so the problems may not be completely fixed yet.

Question: if, after the first few screens, and before the actual study has begun, a study explicitly asks me to exit it if I'm not using a laptop, and provides me a button to do so - and on pressing the button, it auto-submits to Prolific with a completion code - do I need to worry about my submission being rejected because I didn't complete the study, even though I followed their instructions to the letter?
