I checked on my confirmation email, albion22,  and wonder if the end part of this is actually the completion code?    https://us02web.zoom.us/j/337094xxxx

I have xxxx the last four digits - in case I am not allowed to post the whole link and hope that is O.K.  If it is the completion code:  "337094xxxx" should I try changing my submission from 'No code' to this?
It doesn't look like a completion code, which is never as long as 10 characters - it is probably the code for that particular Zoom meeting.

Yes, I was surprised when it came up a second time, and once again it was broken.  Reported study, but no response.

Thanks MollyR - I was beginning to think it was 'just me!'

No, me as well, there were two waiting when I logged on this morning and I just got the Credamo logon page appearing for both.

I assume they were not set up correctly, but who knows?

I have had longer completion codes on occasion. There's a default format of 8 characters which you get when a study ends by redirecting to the Prolific completion page, but if they don't go that route, I think researchers can use anything they like as a completion code. I agree, though, this just looks like the Zoom meeting ID.

I was paid the same day. I got the completion code from the chat box on zoom. Maybe worth going into your zoom account and seeing if you can access it.

The only time I can recall entering my prolific ID was when I did the initial survey to book a time slot.
    Hi Silvercar.

The researcher said that he didn't receive our Prolific IDs. From what I recall the Completion Code was provided when booking the Zoom call slot which I entered immediately on Prolific after the slot booking confirmation.

The issue seems to be whether we were ever asked for our IDs during the process which I can't remember seeing, especially during the actual Zoom call.

The completion code was definitely posted in the chat of the zoom interview. It’s an 8 character alphanumeric beginning with the letter C.

I think all in all the researcher didn't explain things clearly or devise the study in a suitable way. I distinctly remember being told to enter a provided CC when the slot was confirmed and at that stage the submission is made. If there was a second CC after the Zoom call, are we then to amend the code on Prolific? If so the researcher never gave any guidance.

As olliebean mentioned earlier, you would assume the researcher would already have IDs when making the confirmed Zoom call.

I have been out since this morning and, on logging on again, I see that my No code submission has been approved and the 84 pence paid.

I did wonder if it was the same code or a different one. Maybe someone who didn’t get the code from the zoom, but from the initial study, can see if it starts with a C?

I did not see a code, silvercar, and submitted with No code.  Although it looked as if the Researcher would Reject my submission if not Returned (as above) my submission was approved and paid today.

I hope others have the same positive outcome.

I have looked over some of my submissions and quite a lot, butI not all, start with a C.  'll be interested to hear if the Code started with a C.

  • I really don't have the code for

Video Call Experiment on Wednesday (University of Oxford)

I'm sure it was there (as others have explained) but I'm afraid I have missed it, silvercar.
