I think I may have confuse things - I was replying to a post aboutDeleted_User said:I must have missed that JGB1955. When I was told that the Zoom call had ended I came out of it. The Researcher, during the short Study, referred to me by name but I suppose that is not enough. I used the link to connect to the Zoom call from the confirmation email I received.I really don't want to Return the Study, because I really did participate, but if the only alternative is to receive a 'red' Rejection notice maybe I should reconsider. What, in similar circumstances, would your view/decision be?MOCHA Transition to Retirement Moments of Change Study (SCR)
I have edited my post to add "Video Call Experiment on Wednesday (University of Oxford)
By Roberto Rozzi"Sorry about that and thank you for replying JGB1955

Hi Deleted_User. I had exactly the same message but returned as for only 5 minutes of my time and 84p it wasn't worth risking a rejection. I did tell the researcher that I don't recall being asked for my Prolific ID when reserving a slot and certainly not during the Zoom call. They sent me messages via Prolific system so they should have some record of sorts in addition to the external Zoom call confirmation email.Deleted_User said:Deleted_User said:That is really helpful, thank you silvercar. Where was the completion code sent via Prolific, to your own email address or is there a separate chat 'place' on Zoom?
I used my own 'spare' email address - not my prolific email.Video Call Experiment on Wednesday (University of Oxford)
By Roberto RozziI am disappointed to have received this message from The Researcher this afternoon:"Hello, If you are receiving this message, it means that your submission has not been approved (because I did not receive your Prolific ID). If you did not participate in the study, please return your submission now; otherwise, we will need to reject your application. Please do not reply to this message unless it is strictly necessary since we received many emails. Best regards, Roberto"I attended the Zoom appointment and was taken a few minutes early. I was introduced to the Researchers, answered the question, clicked on the link they gave (although I received no completion code) and was told that the Zoom call had ended.Do I have no choice other than to return the Study (I think this would be unfair) or let them reject my submission? Of course I really did participate and was introduced to the Researchers during the short Zoom appointment.Although it is only 84 penceI really did take care to reserve the time, was free to participate and did participate as arranged.I'll be pleased to hear any of your opinions, thank you.
I personally believe that the set-up could have been better and less ambiguous.1 -
Thanks for replying albion22. I understand your decision although it seems unfair, when you did participate, not to receive the, albeit modest, reward.I wonder how many participants who, like us, really did participate, received the same rejection message as us.0

I was paid the same day. I got the completion code from the chat box on zoom. Maybe worth going into your zoom account and seeing if you can access it.The only time I can recall entering my prolific ID was when I did the initial survey to book a time slot.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. THE VILLAGE TOUR EXPERIENCE By Ranran Cui
£0.30 £10.00 /hr 1 min 16 placesNot a good start to the day on Prolific at all. I reserved a place and the Study came up in Chinese. Eventually I saw a 'link' to click on for English but the Study still came up in Chinese and Prolific ID was not accepted. I contacted the Researcher. had to Return the Study as it was impossible to continue with it. Refreshing the page did not help.Soon after this a "New Study available on Prolific "notification came up sounding similar but I thought perhaps the Study error had been corrected by The Researcher. Once more I reserved a place and clicked to start. It was exactly the same as the earlier Study, in Chinese, impossible to continue, Prolific ID not accepted and the login page I was directed to did not work - it required another login and password. No word from the Reseacher and I had to Return this Study too - so two Returns tthis morning already. I Reported the Study and still no word from The Researcher.Has anyone else tried to access this Study?1 -

The researcher said that he didn't receive our Prolific IDs. From what I recall the Completion Code was provided when booking the Zoom call slot which I entered immediately on Prolific after the slot booking confirmation.
The issue seems to be whether we were ever asked for our IDs during the process which I can't remember seeing, especially during the actual Zoom call.

Yes, I was surprised when it came up a second time, and once again it was broken. Reported study, but no response.Deleted_User said:THE VILLAGE TOUR EXPERIENCE By Ranran Cui

If it is the completion code: "337094xxxx" should I try changing my submission from 'No code' to this?0 -

Maybe I'm misunderstanding the way this study worked, but it seems to me that the researcher would already have had the Prolific IDs of everyone they embarked upon a Zoom call with. If they failed to correlate those IDs with the calls, that's down to them, surely?albion22 said:
