    I will keep everything crossed
  • Yeah its a pain OP. Housing is such an awkward clunky asset, spent most my life getting myself into a position to buy a house and now got to that position having second thoughts about buying a property at all and resale hassle is one of the reasons why. Might just rent and use the spare money from not buying investing into other things, can actually probably make more money this way by my calculations - not suggesting that for everyone ofcourse, do whatever u like :)

At least wait for the bubble to pop and get a cheaper deal?

Any suggestion on what else could invest on? Property could take very long and any other ideas? Thanks.

Yeah be more like Crashy, he has been waiting for years predicting the massive crash, hows that going for you crashy?

Its a bad time of year, the winter is always slow, it generally picks up in the spring, make sure you look objectively at your house, you need to fall back in love with it, spruce it up, its all to easy not to bother and avoid doing anything because you are concentrating on the house you want... People are often lazy and want a turn key house so make sure you have that, even if it costs a few thousand it will pay off.
  • Iirc we had twenty-three, including a couple of second viewings over five weeks (last Autumn). Within the first four weeks we had several offers that were all a bit low, then one that was close enough to what we wanted, during the fifth week. Two of the people that had previously offered muttered about matching this offer, but those came to nothing.

    Complete Friday :D

Ours is also a fairly large, unusual property ;)

When I was selling I didn't even entertain letting people view who weren't already on the market
Why so? I am buying but am not on the market (no need to sell first).
I have just been ruled out by you, I guess.

We went on the market at the end of July and sold mid september, we had about 15 viewings, 5 second viewings and a couple of offers that were too low/not proceedable in that time. Finally moved a couple of weeks ago.
