  • Great news Pigpen both about tax refund and job. Fingers crossed.

    So, my day looks like:
    45 minutes in the gym
4 hours at job no. 1
2.5 hours doing the grocery shop and putting it away, running hoover around, shovelling the mud off the utility floor, mopping, cleaning loos, emptying kitchen bin and washing it out, making our bed and putting a load of washing in.

You might have thought that DH would have done some of the above, given that I know that he didnt get up to go to work until 9.40 am at least one day this week but no. Is there any point moaning about this? Again, no.

I have left the dishwasher to empty in the hope that one of them can manage to do that at least. Tea is going to be something to throw in the oven with chips.

I now need to do more work, need to get some more hours in before the month end.

WM is making a funny noise. I might have put too much in it. Hoping it is OK.

    Right, work ..

Full day at work, so not a lot of flying again. But DH and DD have gone out and I am home alone. I'm treating this as off the list and having it as my "me-time"! I might even have some popcorn with my cuppa. Now there's living it up!

    Evening

Started the day with GP appointment: diagnosis of osteoarthritis everywhere they've xrayed, and low vitamin D - no surprises there, then. Referred to physio and on the waiting list for another injection in my shoulder joint.
Heard of 2 neighbours very seriously ill, another friend sent home from A&E with ABs for a bad sore throat, and count myself very lucky.
Did enough food shopping for a week at least, and put everything away when I got home - fridges are full. Another reason to be thankful.
And I bought myself some lovely new slippers. Ditto.

At lunchtime DH and I took Rosie for a walk up the highest hill in this area, with a huge bacon, egg, tomato and mushroom sandwich at the outdoor cafe afterwards - that completely scuppered my Wannabe Slinky resolutions for today :o

When we got home I fell asleep zzz Woke up in time to cook tea, then I went to choir practice and DH is still at war games club.

He is getting up at 4.00 tomorrow to go by train to a war games show near Cardiff, so Rosie and I will have a peaceful day and I can hopefully get on with my course work. I think the chances of flying over the weekend will be limited to S&S kitchen and bathroom. I might manage to get out Aunt Kate's head* and de-cobweb the bedroom too.

*= brush on a long bamboo pole - the soft bristles are almost white, just like my Great-Aunt Kate's hair :rotfl:

Great news about your OH's tax refund, pigpen. Bated breath here too!

Hope everyone has a good weekend x

  • Studio/spareroom looks wonderfully clean and tidy.

Bathroom 1 looks fine. Wiped over the sink and bath when I dyed my hair earlier.
Bathroom 2 is essentially untouched, so just a bit dusty.
    Living Room is alright.

    Landing, stairs and kitchen _pale_.

Nice to see he has his priorities straight, particularly when I've broached the subject of the kitchen being foul at least twice this week.

    Morning all

Thank you for the good wishes re: my doctor's appointment on Tuesday: they worked :T The doctor I saw has (a) no plans to leave the Surgery (it's his Surgery - who knew? :o) and (b) totally unprompted said that some people need to stay on Fluoxetine indefinitely. I'm one of the 'some', but it doesn't stop zealous GPs from saying 'You need to come off that' the first time they clap eyes on me. Nope, nope, nopity, nope - we tried that  it doesn't work. He was pleased with my goal setting: slinky and H2H challenges (thank you ladies :D) and agreed that the change of diet was probably the reason for my slump After all, I am a reactive neurotic (I read it on my notes once ;))

I've lurked the rest of the week as the sum total of my flying was making the bed and feeding the birds each day; all my spoons were being used up pushing through the slump to go to work and getting to know my new office colleagues: two are now signed up as slinky companions and one wants me to start cycling  They have even said I'm now part of their Team - which is more than the Team I do Admin for has ever said :(. Good move methinks :).

My mood is gradually lifting and I've stuck to slinky even though H2H went South. Note to self: I still have eleven months in which to complete H2H Part 1.

So far today I've got washed and dressed, made the bed, sorted Mount Washmore in to loads and set first load swishing, replaced bin bags and full bags are knotted and hanging on back door handle waiting to go to the bin.

    Round 1=
    - put out the bin bags & recycling
    - feed the birds
    - put flowers in recycling bin
    - eat breakfast

Then I'll be back. Hugs, spoons, sticks, furry mules, are all available as required - help yourselves :)

    Good news Roundtuit

    Sorry to hear yours, Ionafan

Think I will start the weekend by dyeing my hair. Have had an apology from a difficult colleague who has also expressed a desire to have the team feeling we had return...well durr some of us are very sad that things are as they are and are working very hard to engender team spirit.

Loads to do. But up to date with washing...until I strip beds.
