Yesterday was my 59th birthday so I'm now officially on the count down to retirement and eventual move to the country. :D

I've taken the week off work and I've started sorting out my craft crap. The box room is my "office", it has my gaming PC, bookshelves all round and boxes and boxes of material, beads, wool, etc and I have to fight a path to get to my desk as it's so stuffed full and cluttered. I've spent two days solid sorting jewellery components out into proper storage boxes - everything organised by colour etc. It's all very tidy and I can easily see what I've got. More magazines thrown away and some stuff identified and bagged up for a charity shop.

My fabric stash is huge and there's probably more than I could ever seriously get around to using for my self, so the plan is to make shopping bags to give away and help decrease plastic bag usage! http://www.morsbags.com/

The plan appears to be working thus far!:T

    Belated birthday wishes Faete

    I wish I could sew

Suggestion (which you may already have thought of so apologies if you have)

Could you not ask for a donation (however small) for the bag and then donate to charity - double win win.:)

  • Horrid letters written, (to non paying tennants and their guarantors), and a big sigh of relief from me. Just spotted DD2s Hershey's cookie & cream candy and had some, it's lovely. Off to put kettle on and see if washing done yet. Other success this morning is that my dirty washing now all fits in the washing basket!
  • Flying postponed - I’m off to Edinburgh for the funeral.

But I do now have 2 extra weeks to fly when I should have been skiing. Sob.

This is not a bigger job than I anticipated... Pile to go away for Twinkle when she starts nursery.. 3 piles away, 1 binbag filled.. yes I had a binbag worth of rubbish on one worksurface... *piggy by name, piggy by nature* ... 2 boxes of recycling out.. a mountain for the shed.. 8 bottles of bubbles found.. It is not fun!!

    DW needs loading too..
