  • Spent this morning and most of the afternoon having ridiculous dreams again and woke up feeling like I'd run a marathon.

Himself is off rehearsaling, so staggered about and made it to the JCP in time for them to look just as confused as we are about why the UC claim got cancelled. Maybe we'll get a few bob towards the rent, maybe we won't - but it would have been more useful if they hadn't cancelled it in the first place, as I was intending to go to the dentist before I ended up in this state.

Left warbling message on the cover phone voicemail that I've got one more treatment session and if I feel better, I'll be in on Friday, but if not, it'll be Monday that they see me.

The kitchen looks vaguely improved, but still CBAd to do anything resembling cooking. Hopefully, Himself will be back quite soon (but I'm not counting on it) to sort out some foodage.
I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.

Bit of an odd day. Woke up to heaps of rain and wind so cancelled run.
Put chicken casserole in slow cooker. Did some paperwork. Went to uni. Came home really tired so didn't go to dance class. Now something new to worry about as Mr N had made an optician's appt as he felt one eye was deteriorating; she has referred him to a specialist as she said although she can't see anything, it is concerning. As we lost a friend to eye cancer a few years ago, I'm panicking. Big time.
    One load of washing done.
Registered for Big Birdwatch - don't forget it is the annual fairy-counting (and anything else) this weekend.
    Writing reports now.
Dizzy hugs, at least it's a diagnosis.

So many of us facing a challenging start to the year (and I've only scanned a fraction of fred). :(

Parents' evening done - will need to raise why so much is happening in the first half of this term when some could be moved to later in the year.
I was home just after 7.40 and haven't done much since.

Things should get better after tomorrow. Hope to be home by 5.30 or so and 6pm on Friday. There's an Aldi on the way home, in case I haven't got oats and sparkling water by then. Only one WM again today.
  • Himself had been asleep since just after 10pm. So I'm bored.

I'm wondering whether tonight's cauliflower cheese was watery and a bit heavy on the cheese for any reason other than possibly forgetting the flour? I've suggested we try roasting thick slices for a change next time.

Courgette omelette is lovely, whether it's made with slices or ribbons made with a peeler. But I can't trust egg cooking to Himself.

Had my first solid meal for over a week today. A vegetable sandwich from middleclass grocery heaven. Was V. Nice. I must be getting a bit narrower, but not 100% convinced as yet.
