Tipping with sky dribbles here today.. Pixie has a trip.. to Tesco!! Hoping to start aspirations of working in a supermarket so they can crush them.. after laying off 10,000 workers in the last 18 months lol..
OH at college 10-3
I have 2 more ebeast sales to post today.. £63 to me... kerching! Actually, I will send OH to post them and have him buy slimerine too.. Twinkle needs it for her bread and butter!
I am having very tired moments, probably due to a huge reduction in sugar and carb consumption...
I am still working towards getting the kitchen swept, mopped and wiped down.. it is sooooooooooo boring... I'd rather wash the walls in the hallway, fill binbags and list stuff to sell.. sweeping and mopping are not my favourite pastimes.. I really need to sort out my motivation and energy levels.. this time of year is so hard.... not helped by girls getting up at 5am when I got to sleep about 2am.. I am dead on my feet and my eyeballs hurt.. I am seriously considering investing in bulk purchases of proplus!LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
Congratulations on your DS's new job, Ionafan.
This morning, I have done HHI, stripped beds, been mostly blown to school and back, run wm and watched the garden fence fall over. Again. I've also had 2 surreal conversations with DH, who seems to think that 1. propping the fence up each time is going to cure the fact that the posts have gone and the fence cannot stay upright for more than an hour and 2. that lightbulbs are a scarce commodity which involves at least 2 photos and 3 texts to determine wherher he can or cannot get a replacement one this afternoon when he is in B£Q. Give me strength.
Just finished vaccing upstairs, waiting for washing to finish, then I am off to do the grocery shop in the big town, followed by haircut, then drive to small town to run various errands and pick up DD. Then home ready to go volunteering. Oh and sort out something nice for DD's dinner as it is her birthday today, And he has just to get a lightbulb. :wall:
Off to put dinner in sc, then maybe fit in a quick clean of the shower before I go out.
Have a lovely day all.0 -
Thank you Fayolle.
Well, 20 min in the bathroom turned to nearer half an hour, as the new lightbulbs show up the dirt that has been collecting for weeksbut it's mostly done now. Just the steam mopping left.
I have also done some printing and sent some emails, so am several steps nearer being ready for a special church service on Sunday afternoon.0 -
Thanks Fayolle. They arrived this morning.
OH has used the plunger on the ensuite sink plughole and it's now flowing freely. Not quite sure why I needed to ask him to do it as we both us the sink and it's obviously been a problem for a while, but at least I only had to to ask once. Nothing seems to help the shower room sink; I've tried absolutely everything and nothing makes it empty faster.
Rain rain rain. WM x 2 and everything's getting a second spin and about 15 minutes in the TD before being draped over the trolley in my office which is less than ideal but it reduces the amount of damp as much as possible.Better is good enough.0 -
food scoffed.. I have discovered a love of... courgette omelettes... don't even ask, I am a freak I know!
Washing all gathered up.. Twinkle snoring..
Ooh.. ebeasty time.. yes I am once again ignoring the kitchen.. I am so lazy!!! ok.. I shall give in and do a HHC in there.. will that make you happy?!?!?
OH is applying for a joinery job when he gets home.. I REALLY would love him to get this.. he is one of the top 3 students at college and at least 1 is not applying .. they are all about the same age but only he has his own transport which is really necessary.. so he is the best candidate.. the company approached the college to ask about students which bodes well too.. so, everything crossed that he doesn't waffle like a demented loon and the see what I do!!
HHC.... in the swamp... GO!!LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
Where is this day going?!
Drove to school as it was persisting down, then ran some errands straight after including dropping stuff at the chazza and Next returns. Have done some painting in DDs room, walked the dog and now making lunch. Will do more painting afterwards, walk the dog once more then journey back to school via the post office.
I would really like a snooze, but know I will feel worse for it if I do. Best keep on keeping on, hopefully the sun will come out soon xMFW

I am going to have a snooze. I'm shattered. Tiny woke me up twice in the night, then the wind was howling, then I had a strange dream. And then it was time to get up! How rude.

I succumbed to the zzz this afternoon, which meant that Rosie had to wait for her walk. We were very lucky not to get soaked - I watched the downpours going all round us but never actually over us, and we were back home in daylight at 4.40, which does my soul good.
Going to do an hour's studying now, then it's pasta bolognese for tea - only the pasta and veg to cook, and the sauce to reheat, so nice and quick.0
