If you try to fly Friday or Sunday, you will very, very rarely find these dates are covered on the offers. We're getting around this by flying 7am on Saturday morning, and coming back 6.30 am on Tuesday morning, so our final price paid to Ryanair was very much £4, no taxes, charges, fees etc at all.
Have to disagree.i have booked fridays twice.0 -
Dinah is right, I've very rarely seen a flight from Newcastle to Dublin on a Friday or Sunday included in the offers. Now they seem to have a set £25 each way all in advance special for them, for the past 3 months I've never seen them be cheaper than that.
I always get the best deals Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday.0 -
I booked two flights for £1 each way from Nottingham to Dublin with the £1 offer before it closed last night.
I was then charged £20 for one piece of luggage and then when I came to pay for it with a Visa Debit card I was charged another £20 !!!!
What a con !!!!!0 -

Yes I've booked quite a few this week for £2/€2 return, incl all taxes and charges. I love these Ryanair offers.

My tips for getting the cheap ryanair flights;
1-sign up for their e-mail you get to know about the special offers straight away.
2-be flexible about your dates, if you need to travel on a specific day you may not get the cheapest flights.
3-if you do need to go on a specific date, check the days either side.
4-find the flights that are specific to the offer, e.g.when this £1 offer was on, I looked at some 99p flights, but because they were still subject to fees & tax they were working out quite expensive.
5-only book flights, no check in baggage, no priority boarding, no insurance, musical/sports equipment etc etc, these are the things they charge extra for.
6-use a visa electron - you don't pay extra for it (yet!).
7-learn to travel light! I can now pack for 5 days in hand luggage & for a girl who likes shoes to go with every outfit that's a miracle!!
8-remember that ryanair are a buisness not a charity, they want to make money out of you, if you don't like their policies or their charges - buy your flights from another airline!
We have friends in Cork & Dublin so use ryanair a lot, they aren't the best airline, customer service isn't fantasic! The seats are small & you take a chance of not being able to sit together! But we are only on the plane an hour so treat it like a bus trip, we got 2 return flights to Dublin at the end of this month for less than £7.50 in total which allowed us to spend the money on a nice 4 star hotel! & I've booked 3 return flights to Cork in July for £6!"Normal is not something to aspire to - it is something to get away from" - Jodie Foster0 -
Booked two £1 flights Edinburgh to Bournemouth but had hoped to fly from Glasgow Prestwick only to find that route seems to be discontinued from 15th July. Anyone heard anything? Is it temporary? Thanks.0

In addition, check out how far the airport actually is from the centre, and the cost of public transport or taxis, plus traffic issues that might delay you.Its all very well booking a 1p flight to discover you have to get a £40 taxi to get to the airport. You can usually search this on tripadviser forum0
