Thank you for youre time, effort and support throughout this horrifying event. All youre advise was put to them and a letter asking the court to c to make decisions in the defendants absence, but must have slipped up somewhere or the judge didnt look properly on the case. it was said"defendant has been awkward throughout and has refused to identify the alleged driveror give details of any incorrect number plate" which all had been explained. will have to put this one down to bad experiece. the registered keeper is not on low income but the driver is! The registered keeper had no holidays to take time off to go to court and also this was not his mistake. thank you all very much ,wish it had been a different outcome.

but must have slipped up somewhere or the judge didnt look properly on the case.

Are you alleging that the Judge was incompetent? If so make a complaint here.

it was said"defendant has been awkward throughout and has refused to identify the alleged driveror give details of any incorrect number plate"

They are alleging that you lied. If the judge believed them he may have awarded them unreasonable behaviour costs.

IMO you are mainly to blame for your situation. A judge makes his/her decision on the evidence before him. The frequent mistakes in your posts lead me to think that you lack attention to detail and produced a poor and or contradictory defence.
You never know how far you can go until you go too far.
