It'll clear within the next hour or two.

But my error message implies that they have corrected the double interest issue in that you cannot now close the account early whilst there are uncleared transactions?

I've closed mine just now as the interest 19.39 has cleared.

Let's see what turns up in my nominated account.

Note the title in this post. Wish more would do this on this thread or even start a specific thread for maturing issues.

I've been overpaid by the same amount, The maturity account will show a debit balance in a day or two.

I had a letter regarding one of my accounts to refund the extra interest, which I did, but I've not heard of anyone else who had a letter. All those that I have heard of who had the double interest have been able to keep it.

I'm not showing any uncleared transaction on this latest account which has matured

I had one of those letters with iss2 (I think). Other issues, including this one, have transferred the correct amount out on closure, although the accounts don't actually close. A secure message seems to work best to close and clear accounts from online banking.

Think it was the third account I received a letter requesting re-payment. My online balance also showed a deficit of £46ish, however I never got round to reimbursing them, haven't received a 2nd request and my online balance was reset back to 0.00 about a month or so ago :D

Maybe I should not have bothered sending them the payment, but I wanted to keep taking out regular savers and not returning the overpayment might have stopped that.
