I may be wrong, and feel free to correct me, but those who are going to close and transfer their VM Reg E-Saver Issue 5 account later tonight are likely to have 'double interest' issues. If I recall correctly, to avoid this problem you should close the account on 21st June.:grouphug:

What is this 'double interest' issue that you speak about? First time I heard about it.
Thanks for elaborating.0 -

Being slightly mischievous, I would suggest that the double interest issue is not a "problem" to be avoided, except for VM who do not seem at all keen to avoid it. I have had the double interest "problem" on each of Issues 1 to 4 of the Regular E Saver (Issue 4 was slightly different, but still resulted in a small overpayment), as well as on the Matchday Regular Saver. The first three times I contacted VM to point out the problem, but have since given up. The over payment has, on all occasions, been written off in my favour. It is in fact a bonus! Not, of course, that I would do anything to engineer it happening with E RS 5 :eek:0 -

Alas, I have never had this overpayment....now wondering whether I can engineer it.....:)
