I’d recommend people contacting Virgin Money to request that they make the Regular Saver an online account again. If enough people do, they might listen.
Already spoken to them they are keeping at branches only. Now that they are joining Yorkshire Bank the good saving account rates will probably disappear as Yorkshire Bank savings rates are awful."Look after your pennies and your pounds will look after themselves"0 -

The maturity letter implies you can open the new one on the same day, but it's not all that clear to me.
Once it has converted to a flexclusive saver account you can open another regular saver straight away."Look after your pennies and your pounds will look after themselves"0 -
I was foxed by an entry in my list of income sources for my tax return - OneSavings Bank which I'd never heard of. Research told me that Kent Reliance is linked and I had a regular saver with them.
Might save time for someone encountering the same puzzlement.0 -

I had the same problem when I encountered a listing for HSBC - it turned out to be First Direct

Lucky you two to be able to see this data. Where do you find it? The nearest I can find is
"Your income from other sources
Non Coded Income"
and a single figure. No breakdown as you seem to be able to see.0 -

It's a minor thing but I went into Nottinghamshire BS as I was passing yesterday and the branch I went to in Burton said they won't open a regular saver for you without an appointmentSam Vimes' Boots Theory of Socioeconomic Unfairness:
People are rich because they spend less money. A poor man buys $10 boots that last a season or two before he's walking in wet shoes and has to buy another pair. A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.

I'm opening the RS7 in the same visit as I collect from the RS6 maturity, when the funds on the latter become available on March 1st. Appointment arranged.0
