  • I started this season as a Chocoholics distributor and am having a great time!!

Have already placed over £500. of orders and not even started doing parties yet.

The response I have had has been amazing, everyone loves it. Am really looking forward to doing my first party next week and getting started.

I am nearly booked up and that is all through word of mouth, I was at a Virgin Vie party last night and once eveyone had placed their orders and we were all chatting I mentioned that I was doing chocolate parties, I had some brochures and a few of the girls said they had already seen it as their friends had told them, I got one party booking and another lady is thinking about it!

But, I am already up to my eyes in paperwork and chocolate, so totally agree that you can't do this if you work full time, it is going to be a full time job I think!! :j

Hi there, I'm hoping to get some answers here. I've just become a virgin vie rep and plan to do this till xmas. Should I register as self employed (I also have a day job) or go through my husbands ltd company to reduce tax payable. Also what records do I need to keep. Is just a simple record of how much the party cost, and how much was profit enough, or do I need to keep records of everything that was bought.

    Thanks

Hiya just wandering hows everyone doing? I'm interested in doing a party plan, not sure which one yet. Don't have any experience as I never went to one. Can some of you experienced sellers tell me how long do these parties last, do you do games or how do you do it? Would I get training and tips from the company? Many thanks.

All parties vary in size and length and I would say that you basically do as you wish at a party. I sell Usborne Books and personally I don't do any games, just a very small introduction, then chat with all the guests and provide advice etc. But I know lots of people that do ice breaker games and really have fun with it. It's totally up to you. Our company has lots of tips/training and our group also have our own private forum where we all help each other with fun ideas.

If you're interested in doing party plan, you need to do something that you feel quite passionate about and know you're going to love selling. That way you'll do well!

Good luck in whatever you decide to go for!

beany - I will pm you a reply!

Mrs - D - Im a party planner with PartyLite - and initally started this to get extra money and now looking to do full-time as I love it - parties time depends on the hostess and crowd - but usually 2-3hrs - I have done quicker parties where people know the stuff and just want to play a quick game - don't need a demo as been loads of times then there are the other people who love to play a couple of games - can pm you the games if you need and then a demo which usually lasts about 30mins then orders etc.
If you spend about 2-3hrs with a group of people then its much better as you can get to know some of the guests and build a rapport which helps you when booking parties etc.

Its definately worth a try - and our company doesnt cost anything to join and you get a FREE kit worth £300 so no reason not to try!

need any more info pls feel free to pm me anytime.

  • I have just recently became a consultant for captain Tortue who sell french clothing for ladies and children - although there are targets to meet (and if I am truthful I am starting to panic a little) the benefits are FAB - I also do phoenix (although not very well :lol) my problem is getting people to book parties when they are attending a party - like the sound of the bingo/raffle at the Anne Summers parties - how does this work and does the consultant keep the money from these?

    Thanks

    HI Gillyg,

I used to do Captain Tortue and although the clothes are fab, they are expensive and the targets for sales were way too high. I am now in the position of paying them back monthly for the kit (last season). I hope you manage to do better!
I am now an agent for Stardust Kids who sell funky kids (and now ladies) clothes and gifts and this has been much more successful for me. THe other bonus is that although you have to pay for a start up kit its yours and there are no other fees, targets or pressure.

I'm so glad I found Stardust.

    Mambury.

  • I work with Avon cosmetics as a Sales Leader, I started really slowly 2 years ago delivering brochures. I now earn over £1500 every 3 weeks at the moment. This is a sure way to top up your income full time or part time.

Hello every1, super newbie with a question.
Has anyone evr shared a consultancy ? I did Virging Vie a few yeas back and it went reasonably well on the sales front. It was the booking of parties that was my undoing. I just wasn't pushy enough to get new bookings. So I thought that maybe I could share with someone else. I would do the selling and they would do the organising. Would love to hear your thoughts.
(yes, the income would be half, however I would at least earn something in stead of just being stuck with the starter kit)

    Cheers,

not sure how you would go about working that - but instead of sharing why not look at extra training on booking parties - there are various ways - like extra incentives - and party bags.

If interested in knowing more then pls feel free to ask me.
