I am interested in Phoenix, does anyone have any further information which they wish to share?
:) Thank you to all OPs :)
  • I did BSH for 18 months and loved it - it can be quite exciting especially when I made £1,500 sales in one night (£375 commission in 3 hours!)

However, over the course of my time with BSH I only managed to make £600. By the time I'd paid for stock, fuel costs, delivieries and taxes, there was hardly any money left.

I was being pushed to go for Team Leader (where you can earn commission on your staff) but the recruiting processes was a nightmare and it was really difficult to motivate people to work.

I consistently hit the highest earnings target in my team by a large margin and yet my commissions weren't fantastic - so you can imagine how little some of the other consultants were earning.

If you're looking for some pocket money then direct selling is fine, and can be a lot of fun, but don't expect it to make buckets full of cash especially if you have other responsiblities i.e. other employment, dependents etc

I have decided to go ahead and become a Phoenix Trader!

I will open another bank account to keep the self-employed money on its own, although is it necessary to open a business bank account?
:) Thank you to all OPs :)

I use the Abbey Business account which is free forever (within certain limits). It's highly unlikely that you'll go above the limits, and it's easier to keep all your self employed money separate.

Good luck with your new venture!

I've looked at FM. It says the strter kit is £24.50. Do I get anything like catologues, invites etc for my money as it doesn't say?

With party plans, do you have to do tax returns etc?

I believe you do, since you would be self-employed. It is very important to keep accurate records of any money coming in and going out, receipts etc. since you will need this to complete your tax return.

Thanks. I'm thinking of doing Phoenix Trading, so this info has helped loads.

Good luck with that. I am registering as a Phoenix Trader this week, so I will of course be sharing my knowledge on MSE, once I have some knowledge which may be useful to others that is :rotfl:
