I work for Silverline Jewellery selling you guessed it Silver Jewellery! There is no initial outlay and you are not expected to pay for hostess gifts. It is a family run business so it's a really friendly company to work for with all the help and support you need. The company has been going about 9 years now but it is still unknown in most areas as the consultants have been mainly based in Scotland until now. The items are gorgeous and of fantastic quality so sell themselves without the need for hard sell. As we do not have targets it means our way of selling is much more relaxed and our customers often comment on that. Our party averages are very good so the potential earnings are great and it never seems like work.
If you have never been to a Silverline party of heard of us I would seriously recommend that you check them out if you are thinking of doing party plan. As we are alot smaller than the other partyplan companies it means your potential number of customers is much higher as there are less consultants.
If anyone wants any more details then let me know.
Also the company I work for has plenty other agents in my area and I have never ever found it a problem getting parties because there are lots of different groups of people. If people like the product then you are sorted and I can truly say our products are fantastic!:beer:I get paid to party!:rotfl:0 -

I'm sure you will agree that it is up to the individual to firstly obtain all the facts when jumping into a party plan enviroment and I was simply pointing this out.Apr wins - £70 :jMay Wins - £350 :T June wins - £579

Isn't it correct though that although Partylite say "no initial outlay" you don't get paid commission on your first £300 sales so surely technically you are paying £300 for your starter kit?
This may have have changed so please correct me if I'm wrong but was the case when I was looking into it 6 months or so ago.0 -

It just shows you that you should get all the information first before you decide what partyplan company to go to. If you have a passion for a certain product or brand it may not matter about the commission levels etc but if you are in it to purely make money you have to take everything into account.
I looked at various different partyplan companies before I joined Silverline. I like candles, make-up and jewellery so that didn't help so I looked at things like the commission rates, outlays and the team meetings. I didn't want to attend team meetings every 2 weeks so that was an important factor for me and I didn't want the pressure of targets. Taking this into account along with the commission rates and my choice was made.
If you take the time to check out all the facts you will find the company that is right for you and where you will be happy.Apr wins - £70 :jMay Wins - £350 :T June wins - £579

Having worked for 2 different party plan companies, I started my own, Poppy's Books, over three years ago and it's fab! I knew what annoyed me as a party planner and used that in my own business eg. each agent has own territory.
Anyone who would like to know more please PM me.0 -
i have been running my Usborne Books business for over 9 years and I love it. I work full time (because I choose to) and I earn a full time income, plus win great incentives such as foreign holidays!

Hi
Thought you might like to know about a relatively new party plan business - Jamie at Home. It's a collection of goodies for the home, garden and gifts put togther by Jamie Oliver. I've been a consultant since June and I'm really enjoying it. There are costs involved in the start up, I paid £100 + £15 for public liability insurance and you have 4 parties in the diary before you start, but the potential to earn lots of money is right there if you work at it of course. There's also an advantage in that it's very new to the UK party plan scene, so people are usually keen to see the products and having it all rubber stamped by Mr O helps tremendously.
There's no cooking involved and the admin side of it is all online, so it's very easy to keep on top of orders etc. You can work as much. or as little as you like, I do 1 party a week and I'm on track to pay for a sizeable chunk of Christmas!0
