It's very important to keep those pizzas decluttered, they can take up a lot of space in the home if you leave them lying around, best use and get rid asap.
Half the huuuuge table is now clear and I'm looking at the rest and trying to decide if I feel up to doing anything about it b4 work (no, being the answer) but it's still better than it has been for some time.
Ideally, I need the world to stop requiring anything of me for a week so's I can catch up with these projects and put things neatly away. Realistically, that ain't happening as, if I was free in daylight hours, I'd be spending most of them playing in the dirt on my allotmentino.
Have a great day, lovely peeps.Every increased possession loads us with a new weariness.

Third bag of non-fiction books are ready to be taken to the CS when I go out later. Goodies from my food store have been made into 4lbs of mincemeat, should keep OH happy for a while when it has matured. 2 containers of shredded paper has been added to the Dalek compost bins, but masses more paperwork to be sorted:(The best thing about the future is that it comes one day at a time. DD2 has been clearing out the clutter of decades (well two anyway) and a model skeleton emerged about 18 inches high. Charity shop thought yeah, they might be able to sell it in the run up to Halloween!!It doesn't matter if you are a glass half full or half empty sort of person. Keep it topped up! Cheers!0

my work desk was so lovely and clean and tidy when i got in :-)
refilled the bin with paper and also decluttered some emails - i cling onto emails too long (not as tasty to declutter as pizza greyqueen)

My household inventory increased by one item yesterday, it was a planned purchase and it is bringing me much joy.
It is a wire basket which is hanging on the underside of my kitchen wall cabinets and holding some fruit,. Which frees up my precious counter space from the fruit basket. I really like the fruit basket, it was a chazzer find and in red willow, my fave material, but it isn't very pratctical. I may have to bite the bullet and release it back to the chazzer as this shoebox flat doesn't have space for things which don't meet the joint crtiteria of beauty and utility.Every increased possession loads us with a new weariness.

Following on from that - I have some large tumblers I found in a skip at the local community centre. They were throwing out dozens, I've no idea why. But I just don't use that size of glass! I wish I did, but I don't, and I have a lot of other glasses that are nicer, and a few of that size that I'm sentimentally attached to in any case. So thee are going to make their way to the chazzer, I'm building up quite a little stash for things to go there, in the shopping trolley.2023: the year I get to buy a car0

My trainers keep feeling too big so I am washing them in the machine so I can donate them. I have a jumper that can go too so I may as well look around for some other things to go in the bag.0

Feeling very proud of myself, I treated myself to some new bedding a couple of weeks ago and so I have put one of the old sets in the charity bag. Time was, I would have kept it for Justin! I also got rid of a few dresses that I turned out recently, and some books; gone, before I can change my mind.
Does anyone else face the dilemma of keeping old stuff because you can't donate it? I've acquired some brand-new wineglasses (long story, but a group that I belong to that no longer need them) they are fairly plain, but that suits me, and they are much nicer than the ones I have which have got dishwasher-bloom. However, my old glasses are really too scruffy to donate to a CS, whereas they could certainly sell the new ones. I'm stuck as I hate the idea of putting the current ones in the bin. They don't really spark joy, but they do hold wine!Life is mainly froth and bubble: two things stand like stone. Kindness in another’s trouble, courage in your own.0 -
Karma and Polly, I regularly see the recycling box of a lady I know who works at our local charity shop full of donated glasses they can't sell........ Check with them before donating that they actually think they will be able to sell them. I'm not even sure that they can be recycled, years ago our local scheme said not to put drinking glasses in with glass bottles. It may have changed though now.
Polly I regret not hanging onto my previous bedding when I replaced with new. The new doesn't spark as much joy as I hoped it would as it really needs ironing to look like it did in the picture on the packet..... and life's too short for ironing bedding. Also since buying the new ones, we've wallpapered one wall and the old bedding would have been a perfect match for the wallpaper. Oh dear.Make £2025 in 2025
