Siebre, in spite of your giving the dimensions of the attic, I'm convinced you actually live in the Tardis2023: the year I get to buy a car0

I too have been up in our loft this morning, which is not an easy place to get round with the shape of the roof trusses. A mountain of cr*p has been removed and is currently spread around the house/piled outside the house. Bin men were supposed to come yesterday but couldn't get down our street due to it being repaired. Hopefully they'll come today. In the meantime, I'm adding more bags of recycling as they fill.
If the binmen don't appear by mid afternoon, I may just load them in the car and drive to the recycling centre. Typical they didn't come on a week I'm having a massive clearout.Make £2025 in 2025

Curtains gone to the local hospice craft shop, they have said they can use them also found a couple of feels of cotton that I'll never use so they went too. I also enquired at another CS whether they wanted a collection of willow pottery that I'm culling. I didn't want to lumber them if it wouldn't sell but they do want it so will get that to them asap!
With the building work going on I'm looking hard at whether things will be kept - it's a good incentive for a clear out. The wine rack is taking a bit! No I'm not drinking it (well, only some) we have a reasonable social life so the ' bring a bottle' has been translated to 3/4 of indeterminate age and provenance!

I retired from work eighteen months ago, and most of my 'work' clothes have gone. I did keep hold of two pairs of smart black trousers. This morning I tried them on, and they're hanging on me, I've kondo'd a few kg, so they're in the charity shop bag. That means I have no smart trousers, but seeing I haven't had a need in the past eighteen months, I'm not in a hurry to replace them.
And a pair of jeans which fit but aren't comfy are going out too.

10 bags of recyclable stuff - mainly paper, and over 99% of it OH's - and a large amount of cardboard taken to the tip. I get home and find yet more stuff to go, but I do feel better for shifting some of it along. It's stuffocating.Make £2025 in 2025

1 pair of cheap trousers that had gone shapeless (but I was wearing at home) in the bin.
3 pairs of polyester pants (what was I thinking?!?) also in the bin.
Emptied an lkea set of drawers (to hold cds in 8 drawers); now thinking whether it's worth trying to sell or just put out front with a 'free' sign.
Eyebrow pencil I bought and used once given to guest who had forgotten hers.

1 rather heavy bag of lovely non-fiction books to CS today, more ready to go, gardening, exploration etc, all enjoyed, but rarely looked at now.
Trip to recycling centre tomorrow with 8 bags of conifer branches as OH and next door neighbour have started dismantling the 40ft x 15ft high conifer hedge that divides our front gardens. It is our boundary so we will replace with a wooden fence at some point, but neighbours planted the hedge many years ago, the upkeep is getting too much as we all age, 4 green wheelie bins (other kind neighbours) are also full and ready for collection on Tuesday.
Trousers that I offered to a friend fitted and have been gratefully received:DThe best thing about the future is that it comes one day at a time. (Abraham Lincoln)0 -
Staying at my dad's house for a few days while he's recovering from an op & his house clutter is driving me bonkers so I've defrosted his freezer & am in the process of kondoing his kitchen - he was using his oven as storage for pans I doubt he's used in 20 years while his cupboards are haphazard & filled with multiple duplicates of everything!
So far, drawers done. He now has a utensil drawer & an organised cutlery tray & I've CS-ed countless wooden spoons, cheese graters & potato peelers (- seriously, who needs FIVE potato peelers??)“I want to be a glow worm, A glow worm's never glum'Coz how can you be grumpy, when the sun shines out your bum?" ~ Dr A. Kondoing stopped for several months due to life happening, however back with a vengeance now. We're planning on going away for a few days over Christmas and I've said if my place isn't clear before we go, I'm not coming back!
Made a start yesterday and will go and do some more in a minute. Will pop over to OH's later on to get him started too - he has asked for help which is a very good sign.
Will report back later.Decluttering Awards: 🏅🏅0 -
Tackled my study/workroom this week. All neat and tidy, and freed up some more space. I have now got a designated area to work on my furniture projects.
Going to sort through all my paint, tools and diy stuff later.0
