Morning all
Bit of a restless night (strange dreams) so not feeling very lively this morning. Will resist the urge to waste time on here and get ready for the day. Out at both paid stuff today then gym class tonight so a busy one.
Will have 10 minutes dusting the LR which I didnt do yesterday and sort clean laundry before I get a shower.
Have a good Tuesday everyone, hope you dont get any snow!0 -
Morning All,
DS awake a lot in the night (again) - he has a heavy cold bless him. So just warming up with a brew and trying to wake myself up!
It's freezing here but no sign of the promised snow. Will wrap up warm and walk to school to blow the cobwebs away. I never got round to touching the paint up in the LR yesterday so I really must do that today. Will cook dinner in advance (chilli) and get cracking with the list.
Have lovely days all xMFW

Morning,
It's starting to blow a bit out there, so take care if you are out and about. I avoid fallen branches or piles of fallen ivy most days at the mo.
DW emptied from last night. Yesterday's washing still sulking and wet on the inside line. WM loaded but I'll run it a bit later. DD has finally pulled herself out of bed with 10 minutes to go.
The Christmas turkey is making a reappearance in a pie for tea tonight. Given that they didn't notice the Non-mince in the chilli last night, I'm not expecting anyone to notice Terence the Turkey's 2nd showing.
I'll be back later to start on the lists. Nothing got done last week, so anything this week will help.0 -

:idea: I've been looking for a reason why my change in diet could have set off this bout of depression as it seemed to come out of nowhere  My research all showed that healthy diet helps depression not brings it on - so I'd more or less decided that my brain is wired up wrong and chocolate / crisps / processed foods kept me sane. However as I am fed up with being fat I decided not to go back to the 'Sod this - I'd rather be fat and happy, than 'dieting' and near-suicidal' but to push on (crawl with the ball!) and DS (who has a degree in Psychology) suggested that if I persevere, even though it's tough, eventually my brain chemistry will sort itself out. atb you have given me hope :T Thank you.
And I've lost 3 lbs this week, that's 7 lbs in total. :T
Mr T delivered last night so we now have healthy options in the house. Blueberries and Greek yogurt anyone?
As for flying: I'm up and dressed; made my bed; eaten breakfast - I put a smitherin of jam on my wholemeal toast as I'm trying to meet my brain half-wayermmm so made my bed then really
Today I aim to clean the hand basin and toilet - the inside of the toilet is probably the cleanest thing in the house, but the outside is really dusty  and the hand basin :eek:
Hopefully the desire to clean these means I am coming out of the slump. I do hope so!!
Rxx
ETA Just read that healthy eating can cause depression (temporarily - I hope) -likening it to a form of withdrawal while your body adjusts. Just knowing that makes me feel more positive!! It is!
Yummy things.. like the highly addictive sugar and crisps and processed crap additives are what we use as treats/rewards for a quick sugar high.. you are in fact an addict and the 'depression' is essensially the withdrawal of the drugs you have been consuming.. the 'feel good' hormones are not being released in response to the stimulation so you are not feeling so high..
A healthy diet helps depression by giving you the nutrients your body needs but it also removes a lot of the stimulants so while you feel less bloated and sluggish you still have to get through the period of withdrawal... give it about 6-8 weeks and see if you feel any different then.
My problem is that I cannot eat all these 'healthy foods'... they make me ill.. but I can't eat crisps any more either, which I would eat endlessly before. I can't eat meat and I really don't like red meat. Fish I can eat once or twice a week. I can't eat salads or watery fruits, garlic is out, eggs are out. I pretty much live off frozen peas, fresh carrots and cabbage, tinned tomato soup and toast.. toast is limited though as it gives me terrible bloat.. occasionally I have beans on toast which gives me a day of tummyache. Morning all! Very grey and murky here but trying to ignore that. Hands are hurting after 45 mins on phone/computer and I probably ought to stop working for a while but don't think I can - going to try not using phone to go online etc and see if that helps. No work in yet so that's good so thought I'll update on here then that's it for me until anything comes in.
I tried going without sugar and did really well but had a solid week of hellish headaches but after that was great. Not doing it now but did benefit from it at the time and it did help my mood for sure.
Done nothing around the house apart from put washing on .... bad me. J spoke to potential new boss yesterday and due to budget etc they can't have him start till April. He's going to see them on Thursday to see if there's anything they can do as they might be able to come up with something as that's 3 months ago and we are having hardly any income. So rubbish to be worrying about money isn't it.
Going to try and fly for a little bit now and will report back on progress but don't expect a miracle as I'm not feeling it!Flymarkeeteer: £168 and counting0 -
I'm not liking the information being posted about sugar withdrawal...6-8 weeks is a lifelime  If I do this, I'm going to be a bear with a sore head for ages! I do seriously need to cut out the crap food, but I'm such a sugar addict.
I also need to find the scales and weigh myself so I'm confronted with the true horror of my situation. That may help.
