Aaarghhh just lost my post!
Rather than retype it all ( as obviously I can't even remember what I said), the gist is:
CS bag filled
Knitting in progress found
I also have a kilo of Seville oranges, so tomorrow may well be - to mis-quote Paddington - Marmalade Day!0 -
DW done, 2x WM, 1x TD and a huge binbag filled.. Girls collected.. it is blooming freezing out there.. definitely brass monkey weather!
Pixie at dance until 4:15.. and I need to find the box with the paperwork in which houses the cheque.. and OH needs to help take that blooming christmas tree down!LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
Hi all
Been straight from job no. 1 to job no. 2 where someone had kindly switched the heating off. I work in an industrial building (well really a shed) so it was beyond cold. Gave up when I couldnt write any more, back in the warm house my hands are now tingling!
So more paid stuff to do. Gym glass tonight so only have an hour or so before I will have to get changed.
Oh and Cancer Research UK are doing Sugar Free February if anyone is interested! I get a bit confused with this kind of thing though, I dont have sugar in my tea and dont eat a lot of cake, biscuits or chocolate but I love dried fruit and yoghurt.
Right, best get on.0 -
Afternoon ladies. It's not good. I'm cold, fat and tired.
Well done to all successful slinkies. I'd blow rude raspberries, but I've stuffed my mouth full of shortcake biscuits
Dining room and kitchen were made tidy and sparkling this morning but within half an hour of the boys being home, the kitchen looks like a war-zone once more...sigh...
Snow expected here this week. Have to say it's balley freezing at the moment, so I think it's likely. Woodburner is roaring away, trying to thaw me and I can feel a nap coming on...boys are watching TV, so I might sneak in 40 winks :A0 -
Helloooo :hello:
Thank you for encouragement re: withdrawal effects atb and lynne and for the best wishes for the meeting Fayolle and ionafan
Just checking the ingredients on the jam LW - oh it's not jam it's preserve (?) and it says it's 35g out of 100g Scottish strawberries and 65g out of 100g sugar ....no mention of turnips (or tonnips as we say in Lincolnshire)
Flying: I've taken all the dry clothes off the radiators so that the heat is not being blocked; unloaded the WM on to the airer; and picked up my new pillows which had been delivered to mum and dad's.
The meeting at work went well: I'm going back to work on Thursday and moving in to the quiet office with NO radio and a lot less people, and ideas have been put forward as to how my workload can be increased without being a problem if my main role gets busier again.
And I feel more confident about new neighbours moving in next door as I now have a pair of Jojo's ear filtersHopefully won't need them but Brownie Guide motto 'Be prepared'
Have a good evening everyone

Oh dear, I got naff all done last week and I was away for the weekend. But.....I've managed to have a magazine declutter though - years worth of Sew Today and Eat In mags binned and a giant pile of gardening mags off loaded onto my Mum to read before binning. :A

DS2 appears to have decluttered two coats at school this week - one each day. Not the flying I'd imagined. He'll have to hunt for them tomorrow, but don't hold out much hope.
I was home earlier than intended, because the snow threatened to settle and I was concerned about the drive home. Only dailies done again, but laundry to go in now before I do some marking. Long day tomorrow and I feel like something is brewing. Maybe the snow will settle after all and I have a snow day to catch up with myself.0 -
I'm echoing what Natty said about keeping up...doesn't seem like so long ago that I was worried the thread was too quiet.
I'm kinda hoping for a snow day tomorrow.
