(((Hugs))) Mumof2.He seems to be getting worse with his separation anxiety. So much so, that he cried and barked all night, the night before last, until I came downstairs to sit with him, when he promptly curled up and fell asleep! To be fair, he was as quiet as a very huge mouse.
Kelpie has always had borderline separation anxiety and was fairly okay until Christmas, when we spent several four to six hour periods out of the house over about three weeks. That, coupled with the change in the daily routine, has put him on edge to such an extent that he's started barking if I even go upstairs to the loo. I think the disruption of Christmas is just too much for dogs. Lots of *dog calming vibes* heading your way and I'm going to plug an adaptil puffer in for a few weeks for him, I think. And maybe use the thundershirt again when he's left on his own as he will be tomorrow.
WM x 1 and I'm just about to start TDing it all as the forecast is grim as far as the eye can see, while I make a veggie dinner for us. I prefer veggie food and love quorn - meat's just a habit for me, really.Better is good enough.0 -
Dizzy and HB our little dog is suffering with a bit of anxiety too. He isnt settling on a night either and we just have to leave him whining (thankfully no neighbours on that side of the house!). He has always been fine about being crated on a night but now he is chewing his blankets and attacking the crate. We have tried everything, extra walks to tire him out, adaptil, heater, radio etc. He is on steriods and I dont think that helps.
I love veggie food but am not keen on Quorn, just can't get on with the Quorn mince. I eat a lot of fish but very little red meat.
So ... up early to go to the gym, paid stuff no. 1, ran around with the cordless vac, loos scrubbed, 7 shirts ironed (yes I counted them), bed made. Lamb hotpot in SC, I had fish pie. Have forced myself to do an hour and a half on job no. 2, going to try and do another hour.
Hope whatever is going on resolves itself quickly Mumof2. Hugs to anyone else in need.

Hi All Flyers
I have been meaning to rejoin you all since the beginning of the year, but the dreaded lurgy has knocked me sideways so it has taken all my effort to do anything never mind flying.
Antibiotics are now finished, but been prescribed antihistamines, decongestant and inhaler for the next couple of weeks.
I have a flying plan in place, is that a flight path? All I need now is the auto-pilot switch to take over but as that is not going to happen it looks like it is down to me
H2H
Declutter books, but need to find where to sell them as Ziffit does not want them, lots of recipe books and gardening
Declutter loft, head says do a car boot sale, heart says just take to CS
Keep washing and ironing up to date
Slinky
Joined SW January 2017, but only lost 9.5lbs in all that timeIdeally need to lose another 4 stone. Based on results so far, could still be there in 2023 :rotfl:
General Flying
Do at least Level 1 each day
I hope everyone is keeping well, lots of regulars still here and many newbies or returners.
Natty, Valli, Thank you for doing the Fred each week
Pigpen, your family are just so cute
LW, Doing your bungalow every 10 days is way more regularly than I have been doing. If this is what you need for your health, please do it and do not disappear. We need to see the doggy tales
Dizzy, I hope you are getting settled in your home
Mumof2, Calming vibes for you
Off to cook dinner, Spaghetti and Meatballs in Arrabbiata Sauce, hoping chilli and garlic kill this lurgy0 -

Hungry? When I was on the things, although physically, I felt much better, I wanted to eat All the Food; I think that animals are sometimes given them specifically to increase appetite as well. And the Idiot Floofballs are a PITA at night when they are on wet food rather than dried, as it's not as calorie dense - give them crunchies and they shut up and go to sleep, rather than running up and down the stairs, getting hysterical over the foxes and other cats minding their own businesses outside, howling at the closed bedroom door or, if we've forgotten to close it, leaping up and down all over Himself's head and the bedroom furniture.I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.Yup you are officially Rock n Roll0 -
Evening all and welcome back Gilly :hello:
Thanks a million for all the birthday wishes
Iona - you will find the recipe at
