Trying to be "good" re wine still.
Though I've been doing my calculations. You can tell I've found Pinterest recently - courtesy of various website pages I've located I've figured out that:
5 miles walked per week = 1 1lb weight loss per week
and so therefore logic tells me that 15 miles must be 3 lbs lost per week and add a (virtually) wholefood plant-based diet and that should be at least another 1 lb.
Should be a total of at least 4 lbs lost per week with 15 miles walked and this way of eating (almost) if my calculations are correct.
Hope that sounds about right....as my conclusion came to = 7 weeks should do it (maybe add another 2 weeks for a "plateau" somewhere along the line).
With weather here often not being good enough to go out in just for the sake of it in the winter (at least in the opinion of a "soft Southerner") - I've found the "indoor power walking" videos now on YouTube for "days when a Southerner will think 'blow it' ".:rotfl:
Cue for relief though when I spotted someone local sitting there outside yesterday (when we actually had sun for a while....) with face upturned to the sun/eyes shut and quite obviously thinking "Oh thank gawd for some sun (and no wind) at last.....". Not the only one being driven up the wall after weeks of bad weather then....0 -
It`s time for me to get back on the granola bandwagon, I used to make it often but haven`t done so for at least 4 years. I want to eat oats but really don`t like porridge, I never say `oh goody, porridge` Granola however is different with a bit of texture and makes a lovely topping on the stewed apple and yoghurt. I have a recipe, made with just 1tbs oil and a lightly beaten egg white. Granola is normally made with much more oil. So I will be making granola today, just basic no fruit or nuts
I have to get my arris in gear and find some meat pouches in the freezer, need to make some ready meals later. I saw that last pack of frozen home cooked ham in the freezer and I have salad stuff, so ham salad it is later and I think I will make a nice soup with sweet potato, celery and a tin of soya beans
Some baking today too, I have de-frosted the last goats milk and will make scones, cinnamon rolls and probably an apple cake or eves puddings to freeze in small portions
I was cold and tired last night, I have to wear cotton smooth pants and sweatshirt when carving or am forever picking bits off me. I got cold sitting here, nothing on tv and knew I would nod off so went up at 7.30, only managed 30 minutes of reading with electric blanket on and a lovely cozee home top over my shoulders. Woke up at 3 for the usual bathroom break and woke up again at 6. I think I more than made up for the amount of work last week. Today I am looking forward to the baking/cooking, archers omnibus on0 -
hope PN is ok as haven't seen her around for a day or so?
Had a last minute invite to go round somebody's for an unhealthy meal ... popped into a shop to buy a box of chocs as a gift and they also sold my favourite chocs, which I had to buy.
Host refused chocs "diet, take them back with you"... so I did and ate the lot.
Unexpected call, "walk/amble a bit?" so I said yes ... but not before I'd tucked away a big brekkie and some hot sausage rolls... then there was a pub involved and some cheesy chips and a filled bread roll.
And, once home, "my favourite chocs" also got opened.0 -

Cereal with almond milk and a banana for breakfast.0

Ok, good early start for me. Changed my mind about eves pud as I wanted to use the goats milk. Am now prepped for scones, just got to add wet and dry for normal fruit scones, prepped for cinnamon buns, got to switch on. Made large luscious cheese drop scones, now cooling under a t towel. Got amounts ready to make a crumble mix topping to keep in the freezer, will stew some apples, the last stored ones from my pigs snout tree and make some small baked crumbles too. Meat is thawing for rm casserole and hehe all before I am dressed and will be able to listen to the archers in comfort0

breakfast - overnight oats with almond milk, Skyr and fruit
I tried the fat free Skyr from L1dl this weekend, I usually use 0% fat Greek yoghurt, the Skyr was really nice, not a massively different taste, just different and maybe after a few months of greek yoghurt different is what I needed
also it is a little lower in carbs and fat and a little higher in proteinI am a Senior Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Wales, Small Biz MoneySaving, In My Home (includes DIY) MoneySaving, and Old style MoneySaving boards. You can tell that I'm more awake than yesterday - whoops think I got my maths wrong and it's 5 miles per day of walking (not 5 miles per week) that burns off 1 lb of weight. Back to the drawing board.....:o
.....and not thought what to eat today yet....0 -
breakfast - overnight oats
I think I will start doing that too. :)I bought some oats the other day and still haven't touched them. If they are ready to eat in a bowl in the morning I am much more likely to eat them.:p
I know I have frozen berries and apples and bananas that can go in.2025 GOALS
