Breakfast today was 2x toast and 2x scrambled eggs.

Took the opportunity of a meal deal at the chip shop close to where the house viewing was, a handmade fishcake and chips for £2.50 (fishcake was pretty dire to be honest, more mash than fish).

Just making a fish finger toastie for tea, with salad cream.

    Good afternoon everyone,

Yes it was Waze Farway - what a handy app:)
Shame the house needs so much work PN as it sounds as though it really appealed to you.
CFO today as the kids are off to a wedding, haven't a clue what to have for dinner. I'll decide later.
Brunch was crusty bread with cheese & pickle , cue sticks and toms.:)

Shame about the house PN, but at least you know they're out there somewhere

Yesterday I had my first HG tomato, it was lovely, only a cherry one, wrongly labelled by me of course, so no idea of the variety:o

Into L's first thing, nothing needed, more of YS hope, fail, except pack of hot dog rolls 20p. Save me making a loaf tomorrow anyway

    Lunch was another BLT sarnie
Dinner will be LO C & O flan, I think with salad but could be HM chips, weight was down for this week's weigh in despite the cream tea:j

PN, L's has Mature Cheddar coming on offer weekend 8th, I know we go and try for that one

I've had a green smoothie and scrambled tofu on a slice of toast.

I'm making stuffed peppers later, haven't had that in a while.

    Good evening everyone,
My it's been warm here this afternoon, my son will be melting in his tweed jacket & waistcoat though at least his legs will be airy as he's wearing a kilt:cool:. I have to say him and his fiancee do scrub up well:smileyhea. However no way near as hot as my son's MIL to be in Athens where it has been well over 40C:eek:.
My Dad's flat went on the market today and I'm really pleased with the photos and general blurb with them.:) I'll pop by over the weekend and check that the garden is fine after all the rain. No doubt there will be some weeding/deadheading needing done.

Apart from some tidying and putting away a grocery order I've had a really lazy afternoon. It's cooled down a bit now so I'm feeling a bit more energetic. The washing machine is on (again!) and I'll finish loading the dishwasher in a bit and pop it on. I still haven't decided what to have for dinner, there's a portion of the lentil/rice/veg dish I cooked on Wednesday in the fridge so may just have that topped with an egg.

I did an 8am dash t 4ldi - and am not impressed with my haul.

YS some chicken breast in some marinade, tossed that in the SC just to cook through.... no idea what I'll do with it, when I picked it up I thought "bit of sauce, serve on rice, job's a good un" but now I am thinking "so what sauce.... CBA"

YS pack of ready cooked sliced chicken breast. Not sure why, it's not something I've bought more than 3x ever. I thought I'd knock up some stuffing and make chicken/stuffing sandwiches for a change. Made the stuffing, which is now cooling.

Eggs, cucumber - these were on the list.

Goodies: 4 egg custard tarts, bag of jelly babies, pack of chocolate oat biscuits, 6-pack of their own brand "Mars bars", crumpets.

    2 bottles of bleach.

Wish I'd not bought any of the chicken now, in reality. Oh well. It's done now. The ready cooked/sliced stuff is a Use By today ... so I've a lot of chicken sandwiches to make/eat today.

Spent £7.02, which is a lot as I've not really bought much that's "important".

    'morning all

I had planned to make some Mamade marmalade today, having troughed the last of my jam stock last night [slice each of Strawberry jam, 1 of marmalade]
However that plan has been abandoned until tomorrow, 'cos I had a lie in

    Breakfast was porridge again.

Then my YS gammon joint into the SC, I popped a couple of windfall apples in the bottom of the SC for a touch of something different, plus a couple of cloves stuck in the joint

More watering, even though it's cloudy it's warm. A couple of my plums have gone manky even though not ripe yet. Reckon I'll still get a taste off the tree though
I think it's the weather, I noticed some of the blackberries are going mouldy as well:(

Lunch, last of the YS bacon, in couple of YS hot dog rolls, maybe brown sauce topping but not sure yet

Dinner, not sure, but YS SC gammon will have a starring role, could be with HM chips & fried eggs for CBA convenience

PN, know just what you mean, come out with "bargains" and think later "Why"?

  • Tub of mushroom pasta from a couple of days ago found at back of fridge, thats lunch with the litle bit of salad made with all my own grown stuff Yay !!!.
Have decided to use 3 old potatoes up with a packet of Polish speaking flavourings - think it is just for sprinkling on potatoes either as chips of roasties. Its been in cupboard for years and really fancy some potato food at the moment, will have with a fried egg on top, may even go mad and open a tin of baked beans but that takes either a few days to eat of room in freezer so will see. Funny the sort of foods we fancy sometimes. x

I have the leftover stuffed peppers to have later.
