Don't they just especially if they have found themselves trapped in a rucksack after a cubs' camping trip :

Found themselves or placed by a small boy as a present for mum :D.

Normal rule of thumb in this house is scream, run, deep breath, deal with it and if after 5pm gin :rotfl:

Worst 'gift' was from previous cats, I came home to a very large and very much alive pigeon flying around the lounge/ dining room.:eek:

Reminds me of my dear departed kitty called Poppy, she used to be an avid hunter and drag anything into the house. She brought live birds in a lot of the time. I thankfully let them all out the window, poor things.

She brought a live mouse in one night and my Jack Russell smashed through the baby gate we had up and ate it in one second.:eek::eek:

    Morning!

What disgusting weather it was yesterday! Rained solidly, all day, from about 9:15 here, and seems to have kept going pretty solidly most of the night.
I normally sleep with my bedroom window open in the summer, but last night got up and shut it at about 3am. It was absolutely blowing a gale outside, and I was worried it was going to blow the blind so much that it would knock my jewellery stand off the windowsill. This dull, dank morning feels more like Autumn than Summer! Rubbish!

I worked all day yesterday, having only been booked to work a morning. Grateful for the extra income, but hadn't bought a lunch with me! No time to go out to get anything, so just had to power through. Not too bad actually. A few tummy rumbles, but no discomfort. When I got home at 4pm, I had a sandwich, an egg and a couple of biscuits, and that carried me through until a late tea about 7:30.

Plan for today... Once the school traffic is mostly off the road, I'll head out. First to the post office to get some documents ID verified, then Lidl, then Aldi.
Then off for an afternoon of work, then a couple of hours at a friends house for birthday cake, then back into town for a choir rehearsal. A busy day!

    Good morning everyone,

Overcast and it looks as though the sky is going to empty any minute.
I have a meeting early evening, I need to leave too early to have dinner before but probably won't be back until after 9. I'll probably have some fruit & crackers late afternoon and scrambled eggs or similiar when I get back. Cold chicken & stuffing roll for lunch which I'm very much looking forward to:D.

It's much nicer weather today, nice and bright.

I just had wholemeal toast for breakfast.

Early morning mooch around Lidl, nothing YS worth having, settled for more packets of biscuits than is good for me, including Fig Rolls, not had them for years

To compound my sins I popped in the chippy on way home from volunteering, one OAP fish & chips special for lunch:D
    I'm very full now

.Rain stopped so managed to pot on some shrubs at last. Only a couple of my cherries have split with the rain, they do look lush and plump, darkening daily, one has a nibble out of it, grrrr:mad:
Popped a few bean seeds in for a late crop, if weather holds tomorrow I'll sow more beetroot

No idea for dinner after the F & C lunch, probably a sarnie or maybe bowl of cereal

I decided to make a start on the wonky veg box so have diced beef, onions, carrots, parsnips and swede in the pressure king pro. Once cooked it can cool and go in the fridge for tomorrow and the next day. DD is coming over on Friday so might cook us a pork chop, sugar snap peas and new potatoes. I have bacon, eggs and cheese in the fridge so might make a quiche if I can find any ready made pastry in the freezer.

Youngest dd is coming over at the weekend but not sure if her BF is coming too or if they are staying with a sister one night. Bed is made up anyway and can always nip to the shop if necessary for a few odds and ends. Sunday is when adult dd is confirmed so assuming one of my dds will give me a lift.

It's has just absolutely tipped down here, my flat roof and gutters couldn't cope with it :eek: looked like hail but I think it was just very heavy then after 30 minutes the sun is shining again :). I wouldn't mind so much if I hadn't cleaned the gifts from the seagulls from the car when I got home  I think the gulls used it as target practice today

Had a good trip to W*itrose lunch time went for fruit and veg and with the exception of bananas and potatoes it was all half price or less YS :D. So I've 2 mangoes, 2 packs of strawberries, peaches, tender stem broccoli, runner beans, French beans, sugar snap peas, edamame beans 2 avocados and spinach :p. I may share with my sister :). I also picked up some half price FF Greek yogurt.

Lunch was chicken salad again, I sprinkled some of the edamame beans over it. Dinner was all YS :money: jumbo cod fish fingers previously reduced from the fish counter, French beans, tender stem broccoli and edamame beans, didn't fancy chips as the fish fingers were bigger than I thought :)
