Sounds like an exhausting but very enjoyable day Brambling:D, hope you have no blisters from the new boots.
Luckily no blisters Caronc. They are light weight boots which I picked up half price having been jealous of my sister's pair
my ankle joints don't approve of heavy walking boots

'morning folksLovely day here today
. I went walking with my sister along the Downs Link which is where the old railway track used to be before Dr Beeching
. We managed 8 miles and I ended up walking in a tee shirt as it was so warm
. I was told 8 miles was a gentle start as I have new walking boots  I just wish I had washed my bedding before I went out, hopefully tomorrow will be as nice
Your wish has been granted, glorious sunshine outside, I assume it stretches as far as you?
Last night's stretched beef casserole was nice as ever, and I've two portions LO for freezing or ???
Usual porridge breakfast
Today dinner is a tussle between head & heart, head said healthy salad, heart said cheesy beans on toast
Head has won so far and salmon fillet out defrosting, all going well I'll add some Actifry HM chips to it with salad.
I "should" have baked spud maybe, but I've none the "right" size. CBA to work it out but my guess is air fried HM chips are as healthy as a baked spud with butter
Waiting in again for a packet, may get on and sow the toms, once I've somehow got my electric propagator downstairs without breaking my neck
It's either propagator down stairs, once, or filled seed trays upstairs numerous times, I'm taking the once option, the thought of dropping a filled seed tray while carrying it up open plan stairs & subsequent clear up is:eek:
Lunch, probably fried egg sarnie, again, only 3 eggs to go nowEight out of ten owners who expressed a preference said their cats preferred other peoples gardens0 -

Good ol' Rugby! I haven't had cause to go over there for years though. My grandma was in a care home on Dunchurch Rd for a few years, but after she died, we never had any more reason to go there.

Ah that might have been Sedlescombe Park perhaps?
I remember moving here and that being the first I'd heard that a place called 'Rugby' existed! It's fantastic having the 50 min link to London (£13 return if you book far enough in advance!) and the motorway links are great. Houses are popping up all over the place and we have a new big out of town retail area now, flubberyzing.
Felling the lurgy today, so just a nice big cup of tea for breakfast. I'm going on a nutrition offensive trying to kick it, so for lunch it might be scrambled eggs, half a (slightly brown) avocado smashed up with chilli flakes and a bit of lemon (I can't stand avocado any other way, unless in a smoothie...but this is pretty delicious) - may or may not have it on a K1ngsmill thin (two packs for £1.20 in Tesco - I get through the ones I can with soup/as sandwiches then freeze then - turn out like crisp bread when you toast them which is decent with hummus)

Anyway, a proper "morning!" to you all!
An unsettled start to the night, last night. My obnoxious upstairs neighbours had their usual weekend scream-fest. I had to put ear-plugs in, in the end. Chat noise I can tolerate, but sudden scream-laughs and random thumps is disturbing.
Anyway, I got up early to do a few jobs, and have just had the last two eggs, boiled for a late breakfast. I'll have a coffee and a couple of biscuits in a minute to finish it off.
I went to the chip shop last night... Very naughty, as I have plenty of good food in the house, but I just really wanted them. Got a couple of fish cakes as well, as I have a real fondness for chip-shop fish cakes, and popped them in the fridge. So they'll be a lunch later...
I'm not sure about dinner yet... Either way, I'll hold off til 8pm, so I can eat and watch Call The Midwife at the same time!
Have a lovely Sunday all! It looks nice and sunny out there!Because it's fun to have money!

No, it was just a tiny little place, not much more than a large-ish house really. Wouldn't know it was there if you didn't have reason to visit. It was called Cherry Trees at the time (this was early-mid 00s), and was targeted at folk with dementia/Alzheimer's. I believe it's closed down now though, and/or turned into something else.Because it's fun to have money!

Good morning everyone,
It was frosty & sunny first thing but it's turned a bit cloudy now, it's still definitely on the chilly side.
I didn't have a great night so have had a very slow start to the day.
I've chicken left from last night which will be used up in a roll with coleslaw for lunch. The lamb will get popped in the oven shortly to roast as I want it to cool before I slice it and let the fat firm up on the juices so I can make gravy. I've asparagus & green beans which I'll steam with some charlotte spuds for dinner.0 -
I wore my sandals out for the first time in ages yesterday and ended up with blisters! I have reflexology this week so I hope they heal before then!
I've had smashed avocado on toast with the fresh salsa I made yesterday. Absolutely delish!:cool:I should really be joining you in salad but I'm already committed to beef casserole again
Could be salad tomorrow, forecast is more sunshine
It was lovely actually, so nice that it's salad weather in February!Your soup sounds tasty Wednesday:)
It was quite good, I have 2 bowls of it left.:)0 -
Thanks for sending the sun along the coast Farway
another lovely day and I've a line full of washing now:) I also consider airfry chips as healthy as jacket potato especially if you leave the skin on the chips
After a good night sleep thanks to my walk I've been tackling the housework with a little light spring cleaning thrown in I think I prefer my day yesterday  I'm currently sitting with a cuppa and a cuddly cat thinking what do eat for lunch although first I'll need to move his lordship.
Flubberzing I will admit to be slightly worry who I'll end up with next door as my old neighbour was an elderly man and very quiet as is the other side. I must admit my noisiest neighbour when I lived in a flat was the old deaf lady upstairs as I could lay in bed and answer questions to any quiz shows she had recorded during the day
Wednesday my feet often blister with sandals I think it's because I'm bare foot in them, hopefully it will heal quickly.
After lunch I'll cook my gammon and make ham and pea soup for lunches other than cauliflower cheese I'm not sure what to have with the gammon for dinner may be airfried chipsLife shrinks or expands in proportion to one's courage - Anais Nin0
