Don't tempt me Brambling:rotfl::rotfl:. I'm actually quite partial to Reorganising Things in other contexts:)

There ya' go - if I'm ever in your area - you can bribe me with food & booze and I'll "start chucking":rotfl:. I do tend to think ideal jobs for me would probably include one of those house organiser people or, if I had a car, professional house-hunter.....

You're on Money :D. My mum lived in the bungalow I grew up in for over 45 years and was a pack rat  and I'm determined not to be like that, it's just sometimes you find yourself slipping into 'it may come in use' behaviour  Bin day tomorrow and I've ensured the bin had gone out full :D bedroom drawers sorted, I think my socks are breeding :rotfl: I've put the half dozen odd ones aside if I can't find their partners in a couple of weeks they're going in the bin :). And I seem to be collecting bras of various sizes (sorry Farway :rotfl:) we won't mention the two new ones I don't remember buying  I also did a little sorting in the cupboard under the stairs to ensure he bin was full :D it was just the stuff from the front today I still need to tackle it properly

Hope the back is recovering Farway :)

I ate too much carp yesterday so I've been suffering a little from that including being up half the night with indigestion :( I skipped breakfast and had yogurt, banana and an apple chopped up for lunch. Dinner will be LO roast beef I was going to make bubble and squeak with the LO veg and mash I may rethink that I'll see how the mood takes me later

  • Just done a quick check - and Pastures is still in limbo at the moment. The ban was up at around 10am/11am yesterday and still can't access the forum yet (though that was about 24 hours ago it should have been lifted).

Last night's frozen mash experiment from Icel+nd was fine, I added a small knob of butter at final fork over, IMO most thing benefit from a blob of butter, except custard;)

Groundhog CFO day sort of, porridge for breakfast, BLT sarnie for lunch

I've been invited to DS's for nibbles this afternoon, but like Cinderalla I'll be back before midnight
The days of me seeing New Year in are long gone, but normally get woken by fireworks, at least it is dry for any revellers, and the ex rocket sticks come in handy as plant supports:money:

No ideas for tea today , I've just finished cleaning, and I've changed the bed in the spare/dgsons room for dd1 and her partner to stay overnight.
Just about to peg out its a bit dull but might take the wet off!
I'll be off to my nieces round the corner about 7.30. There will be nibbles and games lots of drinking and dancing in the street to auld lang syne. Followed by hotpot and jacket potatoes.
Who knows what time I'll be home. Don't wait up!!!
Wishing you all a happy and healthy new year.:beer:_party_:dance:

  • I'll be staying in & toasting NY CFO style! The I'll be in bed at 00:01am...

Decided I cba with work so left after an hour to make the time up later in January when it'll be busier.
Did a spot of T shopping, nothing bought other than what was on my Big Shop list anyway.

Curry now building up to a bubble in the slow cooker. I've never done curry in it before. I just bunged all the ingredients in, along with some oil & the half defrosted cooked chicken bits. So no frying of spices etc. It smells nice, so hopefully will taste nice.

I left my work lunch sandwich in the works fridge. Might be eggs on toast for lunch & a late tea so the curry can infuse for longer.
Frozen spinach is my new favourite thing. I've so far used it in omlettes, pasta bake & other curries.

Careful, you'll have Brambling chucking it out:D:D

Just checked my cupboards for trifle making bits, all in place, maybe if I go out mooching tomorrow I could splurge on some tinned fruit. I've got plenty of fresh, but proper 1950s style trifle uses tinned and I've only tinned grapefruit bits:(

During trifle bits hunt I found two small & one jumbo packet of crisps:j That's Farway Towers New year party food sorted;)

Catch up with you all,and hopefully PN in 2019

Yep...I shall be partying tonight and there's going to be food there too....

So another DOD (Day Off Diet) day for me today then. I think I can pretty much guarantee that, once I've started in on the wine, I'll probably get an attack of The Munchies and head for the food...
I expect some dancing will be involved - so at least I'll burn off some of the calories....

EDIT; Just had another quick check re PN - and she's still in limbo at the moment (the ban has been over for more than 24 hours - but it's still on there).

BTW - Pastures (as I know you are reading - if still unable to post) - the same "virtual friend" that doesn't post on the Board now asked me in a private message today to tell you to keep your chin up/they hope your house will be sold soon.
  • I can notice the weight loss now but the scales are staying put. I think I might be eating too little?!

I just ordered the Clever Guts Diet book to be delivered this Wednesday.

I'm having a berry, banana and almond milk smoothie and then some veggie soup with toasted bread with olive oil. Nearly the new year so I need to be more healthy.

I'm staying in as well. Yes, I'm dreading the fireworks too, people were just letting them off during the day when I was out. Dimwits.:D

I might be the life of the party and organise my kitchen storecupboard tonight.:rotfl:
