CFO "chicken dinners" abound
Congratulations on the weightloss Brambling:D - sounds as a quick trip to "Primani" might be needed:cool:PS M&S used to do a port flavoured with chocolate which was really rather nice:)
Either Primani which is the next town or Sainsbobs Tu cheap and cheerful ones, it's just as well I can wear jeans to workLife shrinks or expands in proportion to one's courage - Anais Nin0 -
I'm now sitting with a glass of port and some chocolate watching the strictly final, I had better go easy on the chocolate or I will be putting weight back on and I reached my 2 stone off this morning :j:j unfortunately the slim fit size 12 jeans will still have to stay under the bed for a bit longer
I'm either going to have to invest in some cheap jeans or be really good (not a chance over Christmas) as I seem to have only two pairs of trousers both jeans which fit the rest are either too big or too small must have been this size when I could still wear my summer trousers
You just know I'm going to sympathise with that one:rotfl:
I managed to get through my "fatter times" with a combination of things like £5 jeans from a charity shop, cheapie leggings with tie-at-waist hippie maxi skirts and a few cheap teeshirts basically being used to supplement clothes I could still wear.
I'm at the halfway mark now I reckon (ie 2 stones I'd say to lose initially - so I've got about 1 stone to go).
It is blimmin' frustrating isn't it as to how long it takes.....:(
I'm still incentivising myself in any way I can think of. Besides the regular clothes trying-on sessions of clothes I intend to get back into - I'm keeping a load of Pinterest links to clothes info - working out exactly what new clothes I'm planning to buy when I'm back to "my size".
You're fortunate Brambling to be able to wear jeans to work. I usually could - but there was a time when there was a dress code introduced and it was used as an excuse by a distinctly fat woman there to stop me wearing jeans - as I looked too good in them for her taste. I think that might have been the start of when the weight went on - as having to be able to squeeze oneself into jeans regularly does wonders for making it clear when weight starts to go on. So I think it was a combination of that jealous woman at work on the one hand and the boyfriend of the time had a taste for women with "curves" and was therefore making positive comments when he spotted a bit of weight had gone on on the other hand that "started the rot". Both boyfriend and jealous female colleague are long since water under the bridge though thankfully....
It really doesnt help when one has a boyfriend that likes plump women. But I'm back to my normal attitude now - shaped by a father that thinks women are supposed to be slim.0 -
Scoffed for England today....
1/ 2 hash browns, 1/3rd can beans, 2 scrambled eggs
2/ Half a 2-egg cheesy quiche + chips
3/ Two chocolate desserts, made with a whole pack of instant stuff and the last of the milk. Pack said 330ml milk, I had 250ml, so that was good enough.
4/ Second half of the 2-egg cheesy quiche.
5/ Three digestives.
There's just one chocolate dessert remaining in the fridge to scoff.... so I'll get that now.
EDIT: Got that... they only take 30 seconds to knock back don't they
Zero chocolate desserts remaining0 -
I really like the Tu range very good for the price and their stuff washes and wears well.
And I find cut generously so you can feel good about fitting into a size smaller :rotfl:
Money it's just sucks that it goes on so easy and is such hard work to come off. I would like to blame my thyroid but too be honest my weight has been an on off issue for longer than my under active thyroid
When I was rummaging under the bed I realised my slimmer clothes are a lot more colourful when I gain weight I seem to have gone back into blacks, greys and navyLife shrinks or expands in proportion to one's courage - Anais Nin0 -
I've just seen your edit re chocolate favour port Caronc
I can see a trip to M&S food hall for research purposes on Monday :rotfl: as I've just finished my port

Good morning everyone,
After a wild night it's much calmer and a bit warmer today. We've got off lightly compared to areas no so far away. One of the benefits of being on the coast, we get the gales but the salt curbs the snow.:)
There is a couple of tablespoons of stew LO, just enough to have on a piece of toast for lunch and I might have a poached egg on top as well. Chicken wings and roast veg for dinner tonight. If it stays dry I'll head out for a trundle round the block. My Dad has already popped by and has taken my cards to post as he passes the post office on his way home.0 -
About to get up after more reading in bed.
Today I'm not making the same mistake as yesterday's brunch. I'll be having two eggs & 3 slices of toast.
Plan to make a pasta bake from scratch again. Won't be freezing most likely as it'll do for taking to work for lunch for a couple of days as well as tonight's tea.0 -
At least the rain has stopped now, and forecast for tomorrow's jaunt is dry
Today's food needs to be healthier than yesterday, porridge etc for breakfast & knocked up more HM yoghurt
Lunch is going to be grilled cheese on toast + HM chutney
I've taken a salmon fillet out to defrost, dinner is planned to be that, plus baked spud & salad, not really a salady sort of day but needs using, quick & easyBy the look at the weather it should be drier in Chichester on Monday Farway, although no Christmas market. Any recommendation on the cake
I may rinse & repeat tomorrow:o, in Winchester then and looking out for loose tea, there is a specialist tea blending shop there for me to mooch in & treat myself XCFO shopping
Plus a specialist choc shop a few doors along from that one:j
PS, now it is hammering down again, glad I'm in todayEight out of ten owners who expressed a preference said their cats preferred other peoples gardens0
