I was hungry when I woke up and I had a leftover Quorn cutlet thing I had in the fridge.:D
I just had a vegan cream cheese sandwich and lots of water. I might just have some fruit and nuts later as I'm eating out tonight.PasturesNew wrote: »Such a super annoying pr1ck with a super daft voice!
:rotfl: He is annoying. He is like a cross between Russell Brand and Jamie Oliver. I sat next to Russell Brand in a veggie restaurant in London a few years ago.0 -
I finally opened that milk.... had to.
Did a chilli/cheese/onion flan
Bl00dy gorgeous in taste/texture....
Served with chips and beans
Certainly as good in taste/texture as the rip off bar meal I had at a pub about 2 years ago... and a lot cheaper than the pub's cheeky £9!0 -
Toad batter made & "resting", tin of beans located and also "resting";)
I could use fresh veg to go with the toad, but CBA plus may be eating out tomorrow, due to DS birthday I'm out with the grandchildren in Chichester, has to be there because House of F is closing, and they would like to go in the cafe before it's closes after Christmas.
Odd request maybe but they are at an age 11 & 8 when these small things stick in the memory, plus FREE lighting special effects in the Cathedral for photo shoot :money: https://www.chichestercathedral.org.uk/events/star-bethlehem-jayson-haebich
Forecast for tomorrow rain, then bucketing down, guessing going in the park play area will not be an option:(Eight out of ten owners who expressed a preference said their cats preferred other peoples gardens0 -

Good evening everyone,
Toad in the hole sounds spot on for this weather Farway, hope you're not too perished tomorrow!
Looks as though we are to have a wild weekend, I hope all the CFOers in the snow path have battened down the hatches. I'm thankfully out of the "amber area" at the moment just "yellow". I hope that doesn't change overnight as it is getting decidedly windy outside!
Christmas cards are still not finished:o, though I do have an excuse.;) My sister arrived unexpectedly as she had no water or heating and it needed to be off until this evening. She quite rightly didn't want to spend a precious day off freezing and had finished her Christmas shopping yesterday so pitched round to mine. We had a right good catch up and sorted the world out at least twice:) . The plumber phoned around 5 to say it would be back on in a hour or so she's not long away. Luckily I had two bagels left though only enough pastrami for one. I made one with the pastrami & cream cheese and the other with cream cheese and tomato and we shared them with some pickles on the side. It was only afterwards I remembered I had a lurking avocado which I could have used up!
I'm not sure I cba cooking tonight and might just have the other portion of stew and dumplings, though I'm not keen on having the same meal two nights in a row and I don't want to not enjoy it so much. I'll have a rake and see what I can come up that doesn't require much prep or cooking.0 -
Baked potato, beans and cheese with splosh of HP. Easy and just what I fancy:D0

You're a braver person than me Farway, I chickened out of meeting my sister in Chichester tomorrow too close to Christmas  we've pushed it back to Monday in the hope it will be a lot quieter. Thanks for the info on the lighting display in the cathedral we usually have a cuppa in the cafe there so will pop in cathedral as well
Freezing start today -3  I regretted opening my little bedroom window before going to sleep, I really didn't want to leave my warm bed. We've a visitor from the Middle East in the office who was in a state of shock over how cold it was she had taken a screen shot of the weather on her phone and sent it home it seems we were ' -2 but feels like -5' :rotfl: she really wasn't dressed for a British December.
A last minute rummage in the freezer last night produced meatballs in tomato sauce and pasta for lunch. Dinner was bacon, egg and HM chips another easy meal Caroncbut hit the spot
