Hadn't planned on going anywhere, decided to finally look for the Xmas decorations box - and found it pretty soon
... although it did take me 10 minutes to find the table it goes on because the legs unscrew and, although the top and legs were within 1' of each other, I didn't spot them at first...
Xmas tree's up.
Then I "got ahead of myself" re food. From the freezer I pulled a pack of angus beef cubes and 3 frozen carrots. Dug out the last of those cheapo tiny spuds (not as many as I'd remembered!)... and I got the biggest onion out of the onion bag. Peeled/cut the spuds, they're in the fridge in water; peeled/chopped the onion and wrapped it in foil in the fridge; put the beef and carrots out to defrost on the draining board for now (into the fridge later).... so... that's all ready to be cooked tomorrow in the SC.
I'll just have to drop the whole lot in tomorrow and it'll be beef stew ... served with mash (from the freezer) and sliced swede (from the freezer). Should be freeing up quite a bit of freezer space! I might just toss in a tin of spuds ... see how I feel. I've got two in the cupboard and it might be a way to use them up, as the spuds I peeled aren't really of any substantial volume.
I'll also use up some of the tiny Yorkies I'd bought ... frozen ones, but had only cooked 2-3 of them to date ... so they need to be eaten this week...
Today: Well, I need to use up more of those Yorkies ... and I've got mash in the freezer .... food today might just be: Small yorkies, mash, peas and gravy. Just to free up a bit of freezer space and eat what I've already got in.0 -
I didn't have the pizza yesterday so I just had it for brunch.:) It's delicious.0

OMG yorkies, mash, peas and gravy .... nom, nom, nom.
Served in a bowl. Used proper Bisto too (not cheapo supermarket)...
Just four tiny Yorkies remaining in the freezer now, for tomorrow's dinner.0 -

I've had toast to eat & coffee. All CFO food plans have gone out of the window - due to Microsoft Windows!
Bought a cheap £149 notebook in summer to just use to browse the internet & use for one note & Excel spreadsheets for things like planning finances & general life. I've a proper laptop for thing like storing photos & work stuff etc.
The windows update is that large there's not enough disc space to download it.... Bit of a design flaw! It's taken all afternoon to get the micro SD card out of my camera, download to that & then install. It's doing it now - better bloomin' work.
Got a 128GB SD card on order from Amazon now to keep in it permanently.
No wonder it's been running a bit slow - no memory for about 2 months...
Still planning on making pasta bake. Just a bit later. Or worst case, I can defrost one of last times portions & take that & some salad for work lunch tomorrow & have summary else for tea tonight. & Make pasta bake tomorrow night.... Decisions0 -
Sounding like use it up day in CFO land, Wednesday, Candy & PN , tasty as well
baked spud now in the oven & salmon fillet defrosted
Only need salad bits prepping and that's dinner sorted
I keep fancying more cake & eyeing up the stollen, must resist, must resist, must resist
Heard on radio about cheesecake, I've made them before, and now I fancy one, mmmmm, maybe XCFO?Eight out of ten owners who expressed a preference said their cats preferred other peoples gardens0 -

Got the last chicken & veg pie & last of the McCain french fries in the oven. Freezer looking less full now. Found a box of fisher fingers I didn't know we're there.
Pasta bake portion defrosting for tomorrow's lunch. I'll be making a salad in the morning to go with it. Might add a hard boiled egg to it as well, to use up an egg.0 -
I really, really, really, really, really want ... some sausage rolls. I wanted them yesterday, ut the weather was too vile to bother going out ... I wnted them today but felt I should be eating up what I've got ... but that's not stopped me really, really, really, really wanting them.
I'm trying to resist them.... just getting a pack in for Xmas and not before .... but I really really really DO want sausage rolls.... now.....
I might do beans on toast now I've thought about it... take the edge off my hunger, help me forget about sausage rolls ... and it frees up the space of two slices of bread in the freezer and every little helps
EDIT: Did beans on toast and had a bit of grated cheese in the fridge, so chucked that on top too... love beans on toast0 -
Good evening everyone,
Now you've got some freezer space PN you could get an "emergency" pack of sausage rolls stashed. Handy if you get a notion and cba going out or the weather is foul;):)
It's turned into a cold and wet night. Certainly not as baltic and horrible as yesterday but definitely on the decidedly chilly side.
Another member of the "use up" crew here, finished the stew for lunch with an OOD egg poached on the top and I'm roasting a big tray of veg to make some space in the veg drawer for Christmas stuff. I'll have some tonight with roast chicken wings. The rest I'll use up over the next day or so. I've a Tesco order coming tomorrow with hopefully a couple of the cheap caulis in it. I suspect they'll be quite small but might blanch and freeze one. My younger son arrives on Wednesday and I'm planning to make cauli & macaroni cheese for dinner which we both like but hard to make a CFO sized amount of. Apart from milk & eggs the rest of it is mainly household stuff like loo roll (don't want to run out with a houseful:rotfl:) and toiletries. There might be some wine as well;). My favourite deodorant is on SO and as it's quite pricey otherwise I always stock up if it's a good price. Itends to go on SO every 6 months so I try to get enough to last me.0
