  • Best to stay in, caronc?
It's a hard frost here - still see it where the sun hasn't got to it yet. I'm about to head off on my walk to work & currently sat on my gloves to get some heat into them.

Tummy feels a bit better today, a bit gurgly but I could stomach some more toast with butter. Got food flask of veg soup all heated up & ready to take to work for lunch/tea. Should be ok with that.

PN, meatballs, gravy & mash would be my choice!

Just had a grocery delivery so a soup/stew of pork ribs, onions, carrots and celery is in the pressure king pro for later this afternoon.

Need to nip out to get the bus to the other end of town to get my hair done. I am beginning to look beyond eccentric.

Starting to sneeze so will make sure I am wrapped up and cosy once I get home with plenty of hot drinks etc.

A meat hamper is being delivered on Thursday and I another two small hampers free so will bring some of those to DD and SIL when I visit on Friday. I did check they have room in the freezer and asked which items would be most useful,

    Hugs to all

    Got no spuds.

Eventually worked it out though... just put the sc on with the balls and ketchup and a few spices etc and pineapple rings..... that'll do. That'll end up as something :) My 1970s local greek restaurant inspired meatball dinner.

Will serve with basmati, or spaghetti....

EDIT: Just remembered.... I DO have spuds don't I! Still got the remnants of that 4Kg bag AND piles of it in the freezer, frozen :) Oh well. Hopefully what I've got instead will be super super super and it'll be a good thing I forgot I had spuds.

It's a Regatta "Chantile" one. :)It's described as a summer weight but with a base layer under it, it's incredibly warm.

    I will check it out!:)

I do... LOADS of it ... but it'd slipped my mind as I've never, before, had mash in the freezer :)

I swear I'll NEVER think buying 4Kg of spuds is a good idea ever again... even if they're being offered free :)

I've always just bought 2.5Kg spuds and cooked/eaten them over 2-3 weeks then had a break from spuds.

    Those things will haunt me!
  • I'm having a Tenzing natural energy drink after going for a walk to the shops.

I think they taste kind of like an alcoholic drink but they are good for you.:rotfl:

    I also had a banana.

I have some leftover onions and peppers in passata in the fridge to use up so I'm probably going to have it with pasta with some added olives that I just bought.
