I'm wearing a new super light, super warm fleece top. It's very thin but I can't believe how cosy it is. If the weather stays cold I think I'll be living in it:rotfl::rotfl:

Where did you buy that from? I would like something non-bulky like that.

It's a Regatta "Chantile" one. :)It's described as a summer weight but with a base layer under it, it's incredibly warm.
  • Didn't get round to that aubergine and tomato bake yesterday.

I did today though - for dinner. Freely adapted from the recipe in the event - quark instead of goats cheese (to cut calories) and I added in a variety of flavourings they hadnt added. They hadnt even added salt and pepper! So in that went and I think onion salt and garlic salt add to anything - so they went in too and dried basil.

Served in a buddha bowl with rice and steamed spinach drizzled with fresh lemon juice.

It was actually quite tasty and one wouldnt know it's a "diet meal".
  • Well, I'm sure I've lost some weight today - haven't managed to consume anything other than some weak coffee & toast all day.
It's not that pleasant feeling hunger, but also nausea at the same time. Stomach has settled down a bit now so I might try something a bit more substantial, like egg on toast.
Don't think I can be trusted with handling raw sausage meat.

Today I had a pack of crisps, the five jammy biscuits I made, then I had cheesy beans on toast as I became bizarrely hungry.

    Hi silverspirit

PN you will be getting indigestion again if you eat too many biscuits straight from the oven :) if you don't have bicarb I find fizzy drink or tonic waster often works :)

Hope you're feeling better Novice :) I think there must have been something off with the sausages as when I oven bake mine they usually take about 25 minutes, quicker in the air fryer

How's the shoulder Caronc, I thought you were meant to be just supervising your son and not manual handling :).

Horrible and wet today, I had to miss out on my walk lunchtime :(.there were only four of us in the office today so it was too quiet, at least there was no arguing over the air conditioning but the day seem to drag.

Lunch was LO meatballs and pasta, it tasted better the second day :D although I think pasta doesn't agree with me the same as bread, I just need to space it out I think as I had bread Saturday and then pasta yesterday and today :o I don't want to give up wheat but I think I'll have to be more careful on how much I eat and when. We sound a healthy bunch today :rotfl:

I used the last of the pork mince to make Nasi Goreng tonight, I just had a very small portion for dinner the rest will do for lunch tomorrow as it heats up well :)

I'm having one of those "I've not got the other ingredients" days. Dragged a pack of meatballs from the freezer yesterday, they're in the fridge defrosting.... and now I've no idea what to do with them as everything I fancy or could do requires other ingredients :)

I'll have to think about it....

Meatballs .... not even got any chips to serve with them!

My brain had thought "do that little greek number" when I dragged them out, but that little greek number requires ... more/other ingredients :)

Could just drop them in the SC into a random packet sauce .... if I've got one that'll do/that's appropriate.... better go check.

Er, or chilli .... could just toss them in the sc with some chilli/cumin .... and wait for it all to make its own sauce of sorts.

*shrugs*... bit stuck without a plan I'm vaguely excited about.

Could go shopping? pfft... don't really want to... and it's nippy out there.

It's eased a good bit thanks Brambling:), the kindling bag wasn't heavy only a few 1lbs but I must have lifted it awkwardly:o

Hope you are feeling better Novice <<hugs>>

PN- meatballs. mash & gravy perhaps?

    Good morning everyone,

Back to CFO for a couple of weeks as my son has just left.
Miserable wet & cold day here, I had been planning to go to the library but the dreaded "wonky donkey" is making it's present felt:(, I'll leave that as I need to be on my feet and functioning tomorrow.
There's chicken left which I'll probably have tonight with roast veg. I really need to up the F&V intake as they have been well below my usual intake the past few days and the last thing I want is a dodgy tummy! That said I thoroughly enjoyed my chicken, stuffing, gravy, crispy chicken skin and lingonberry sauce baguette last night:). Neither of us had room for pud so they are still in the cupboard. I didn't feel like breakfast so an early lunch is on the cards which will involve corned beef and salady bits as I have a pack opened.
