a lurker here, followed your posts with interest. Just had some special cold toast with real butter and a scrape of marmite, yum tum0

Coffee & muesli for breakfast - not often I eat it but I'm on 8pm finishes so it's one of my 2 meals per day for the week.
Lunch/tea will be some pasta with red pesto.
I've started weighing & measuring food again as part of my new "diet". Walk to work will be wet. I'll also drive one day this week to get the car moved for a bit & out for a spin, maybe tomorrow on my short day.
Remaining scotch eggs have gone in the bin - I've spent most of this morning on the toilet. I had them in the oven for about 40 minutes yesterday so the sausage meat must have been cooked.... Definitely consigning those to the never again pile. Safer to buy them!0 -

half a mug of tepid water, good squeeze of lemon juice, level teaspoon of sugar. Last of all - add a heaped teaspoon of bicarbonate of soda. It will start to fizz at that point. Drink it down quick and wait...
The "gas" from it tends to come out the mouth end pretty quickly and that usually does the trick in my experience.
Trouble is ... you have to have all those in the house
Not had a lemon since last Xmas.... for the nut roast making.
Not had bicarb of soda since I used the last pot to clear a slow draining bath a few months ago
I can manage water and sugar. I've usually got sugar as I buy one bag every 2-3 years.... so it's an omnipresent item, rarely used.Novice_investor101 wrote: »....40 minutes yesterday .... Definitely consigning those to the never again pile. Safer to buy them!

Welcome to CFO, I've never liked cold toast, but cold pizza is OK:o Butter & Marmite, yep love that combo
But that is the wonder of CFO, everything is OK, except perhaps Novice's Scotch eggs:eek:
Hope there's nothing going round CFO tums, glad I binned my green tinged bread yesterday just in case
Another wet day here, breakfast porridge again
Made more yoghurt and that's it so far
Lunch is intended to be PB baguette with chicken & stuffing inside
The stuffing I bought from Iceland was P*xo, normally I use whatever is the cheapest on the assumption they are all much of a muchness.
I may have been wrong with that assumption, I think the P*xo one is much better tasting so may stick with that in the future, I only buy a packet or two a year anyway so few pennies extra could be money well spent
Dinner, not sure, more chicken & stuffing, possibly with LO roast spuds, + freshly steamed vegEight out of ten owners who expressed a preference said their cats preferred other peoples gardens0 -
I like having cold toast sometimes. I like cold pizza and cold pasta too.
I'm not sure what to have for lunch. I'm just having coffee now.
I was supposed to get a haircut today but I decided to cancel and just wait until the New Year.:rotfl:
I haven't even been for a walk yet, or showered! I've got washing to do too.0 -

I think the lemon juice and sugar are probably to "take the taste off it" - rather than serving a "medicinal" purpose per se iyswim. It's about the only time I ever have any sugar myself - as the rest of the time it's just in for other peoples drinks.
Tried a Slimming World soup recipe for lunch today - cauliflower and potato soup. The usual story for "slimming" food - ie it was bland. Well - there's another serving worth to eat for tomorrow's lunch too.
Oh well - this morning's emails included a very old-fashioned one to me. I've had a sofa being made for me and it's nearly ready. The email was old-fashioned - because the person who sent it "told" me what week it would come and that I would have to be available the day they decided.
Not with it being the 21st century and me having the mindset of the city I'm from - so I promptly sent them one back telling them what days I won't be available. I'm the one that is the "customer" - not them:mad: One of the days they might try and "tell" me they will be delivering is a day I'm out for a pre-booked Christmas lunch with friend - so they can forget that one:). The other being my main dance class I go to - so they can forget that one as well:)
Sighs.....and has visions of having to tell them there isn't a housewife living in my home ready to be at their beck and call:cool: If they try to just dump the sofa outside and I'm out - then on their head be it that they'd soon be told "The Welsh rain has ruined it - come and fetch it - and deliver me another one".0 -
I'd decided to make some biscuits... made that decision months ago, but only just got round to it. Just simple chunky ones, with a blob of jam shoved in the top.
They're my meal today.
Currently eating the second one, although they've just come out of the oven so a bit too hot really.... might've burnt a bit of my tongueOnly made five.

Sliced most of the meat away from the chicken, decided the last chicken soup I made was so tasty I'll make another one, so far the only ingredients I have is one carcass & a couple of bay leaves & bit of frozen sweetcorn
Now bubbling on the stove to picked over later, I leave to cool overnight & skim the cold fat off later
Dinner is def chicken, LO stuffing, steamed cauli, carrots & sprouts + LO cold roasties need nukingEight out of ten owners who expressed a preference said their cats preferred other peoples gardens0 -
Good afternoon everyone
Welcome silverspirit
Hope those with dodgy tums are feelig better <<hugs>>
We got the log store sorted out yesterday, well my son did and I tried to not get in the way:rotfl::rotfl:Wrenched my shoulder though moving a very light bag of kindling, not sure what I did but it's blinking painful.
We fair enjoyed our roast dinner last night and it's LO chicken, stuffing and gravy baguettes tonight with either HM soup or sticky toffee pudding. My diet's been rubbish the past few days so back to CFO and normal eating tomorrow though it may all go to pot again on Wednesday depending on how long the stove guys take.
Lovely bright day here but cold, it's dipped to 2C already so a heavy frost tonight I think. I'm wearing a new super light, super warm fleece top. It's very thin but I can't believe how cosy it is. If the weather stays cold I think I'll be living in it:rotfl::rotfl:0
