Porridge etc scoffed, hearty stuff on on a cold morning
Now I've got the shivers, I think I'm going to settle down in my recliner, blanket over me and do ?????
Peeked out of the back window.
Next door, with the 50th party now have a gazebo up, looks like they intend being out on the patio, I secretly hoped it would be too cold / wet for that, miserable old git that I am;)Eight out of ten owners who expressed a preference said their cats preferred other peoples gardens0 -

Why is it never somebody else's turn?
I'll update later, when I might have a tiny clue what I'll eat today
Slight clue - this is a singles thread:rotfl:
My sympathies though - as I'm feeling p*d off at the idea I've got to "think about it" again. Grits teeth and thinks "The diet should have concluded by December or, at the latest, January" and then I won't be so "restricted" any more as to what I feel I can eat.
I'll stick in a comment here of one of the latest cookbooks I bought (yep....we all know what I'm like for buying cookbooks:rotfl:) and am waiting to try out is
"30 days of vegan" by Catherine Kidd
Suitable even for non-vegans - as the recipes arent those horribly worthy and dull ones. Don't recall any recipes with 'Orrible Things imo - like tempeh either. All eat-able by pretty much anyone. In quantities for one person too - hallelujah... Shopping lists included too - what's not to like?0 -
Good morning everyone,
Enjoy your new cookbook Money
"Proper" frost here this morning, lovely to look at briefly while I made a cuppa , popped the heating on and then scurried back to bed until the house had warmed up. It's lovely and sunny now but only due to reach 7C today and back to sub zero overnight. My cold, although lifting, is still there so I'm for a gentle day today before I need to get my proverbial into gear for the engagement do. I do plan to completely empty the fridge and give it a good scrub out, I seem to have a load of bits of things in jars some of which could probably do with being ditched but apart from that I'm for a quiet day. Naan bread pizza for dinner tonight as like Brambling I have mozzarella etc. needing used up and I think lunch could well be a BLT:D0 -
All the talk of pizza yesterday convinced me to buy one this morning... And I'll still eat the whole thing.
It WAS lovely and sunny when I walked to the supermarket at about 9am, not a cloud in the sky. But now it's completely clouded over.
No plans to go out again though, so the weather can do what it likes!Because it's fun to have money!

Earlier I made up two filled rolls and put them in the fridge wrapped in foil. One's tomatoes; the other's tomato and boiled egg. Ate the tomato/boiled egg one earlier.
Then had to go out as the house had a viewing.
Back now.... bl00dy nippy out there!
Not sure what I'll end up eating later, but that tomato roll in the fridge has got my name on it in the meantime!0 -
Thanks brambling, I'm having the whole room done. I wanted to take the bath out and replace it with a shower of the same size as the bath, so all across the wall .I'm getting a new sink and toilet combo which has a cupboard under the sink, so I could get rid of the open shelves. I like quite minimal and easy to clean but like traditional or quirky things that makes it different to what everyone else has.
I've just had lunch a cheese salad roll, with Chipotle mayo. Then a pear with ginger yogurt.
Not sure what to have for tea. But it's freezing cold so not venturing out staying nice and snug.Focus on contribution instead of the impressiveness of consumption to see the true beauty in people.0 -

I haven't had ginger beer in years!
I had a walk in the much colder weather, I managed an hour and 15 minutes.:T I'm recovering from Fibromyalgia. That is why that is an achievement for me.:)
I had a vegan cheese toastie when I got in. That's all I had so far.
I think I am going to have veggie sausages and mash and veg later. I got these new ones from Sainbug's called Shroomdogs. Lots of vegan people I know online raved about them being so nice.0 -
Sounds like what I'm looking for when I eventually get round to doing mine:)
Sounds exactly like mine is:) Including cupboard under sink to bung "where shall I put this"? items
Lunch was a ham & salady sarnie
Decided that now I've opened the packet of ham I'll go lazy route for dinner, using up two stale crusts to make cheesy, eggy hammy, and I'll open some beans just to provide a bit of "veg":o

I really fancy another takeaway
But, instead, I've just fished out the last piece of breaded fish I froze the other week and popped it on the worktop to defrost. I'll get round to cooking that with some chips later and peas... regular/frozen peas as I've not got round to buying another tin of mushy peas yet.
Ketchup and vinegar with that!
Might also put some marg on a bread roll, on the side.0
