PasturesNew - It would never occur to me to cut a pizza in half to save for another time! I'll happily eat the whole thing in one sitting!
That's because I'm a glutton though! I've just returned from the chippy and have just about polished off a large chips, a fish cake and a curry sauce all by myself!Because it's fun to have money!

If you read the boxes, they tend to say "1/2 pizza, 550 calories"; that's a clue. They'd not give you the value for half a pizza if they expected you to eat it all ... and with a whole one being 1100 calories, that's a LOT for one item, which is the second clue.
I cooked/ate it early... struggled to cut the crust, so cut it into four instead of six... which then made it difficult to have a bit left over as it's easier to eat 4/6 pieces and leave 2/6 for later ... than to just leave a 1/4. So I ate it all... stuffed now!0 -
Dgson wanted to make cookies so we used the same recipe I used last week only it turned out sloppier! So it spread into one giant one in the oven. We had to use a pizza cutter to slice it!!
I had bought aldi mint chopsticks, so we broke them I to pieces, to make choc chips.
The other half of the dough mix, was put in the freezer.
I got the bathroom ready for the plumber on Monday, took down the shelves and mirror , and the wall now looks like it's got measles there are so many holes!!!
I painted the ceiling in the hope it won't need doing after he finishes as I don't want to get paint on the tiles! I'm so panicking now that I've bought the right things. I'll probably sleep terrible over the weekend.Focus on contribution instead of the impressiveness of consumption to see the true beauty in people.0 -
Long day, today.
I bought a sandwich & choc bar from works canteen for lunch. I really do need to get to 4ldi as I'm out of so much "everyday" stuff, like milk & bread & sandwich stuff.
Just had the pork chop with some boiled new potatoes that needed eating & 4ldi apple sauce. It's a bit too sweet & runny for my liking, but not so bad that it's inedible. I'm banking on getting used to it.
Tomorrow's work lunch looking likely to be a Mr T meal deal until I get some food shopping done.
Also, it was quite chilly walking to my car after work, winter feels like it's arrived (hopefully the grass will stop growing so I don't have to now it again....)0 -
Good evening everyone,
What an exciting sounding day flubberyzing - do keep us posted:D.
My favourite SM pizza is Tesco's stonebaked ricotta & spinach one. I've never bought one full price as they are quite often on half-price SO at £1.80 and the veg one is also fairly decent:), I can usually manage a full one...:o
Lovely and sunny but really cold today (8C was the max), my lurgy seems to finally be lifting a bit so I got quite a bit done in the garden, I think that is most everything I need to do for winter done now.:) Energy levels are still not great so I slept for a couple of hours this afternoon before my sister came round for a cuppa & a catch up. It's to be a cold one tonight -1C with possible wintry showers:eek:, we'll not get snow but I suspect there might be a sprinkle on the top of Arran!
I wasn't that hungry first thing so just had a banana for breakfast, lunch was the last wrap filled with corned beef & pickle with cucumber sticks & tomato on the side and a cupasoup. Dinner is going to be and easy one of breaded pollock, potato croquettes, broccoli & peas:).0 -
All this talk of pizza has reminded me I've got naan bread in the cupboard, so it may be pizza for dinner tomorrow, I've various bits in the fridge including mozzarella which should make a nice one
Hope all you cold suffers are feeling betterhopefully it will mean you've got the colds over with for the winter.
Wort I'm sure you made the right decision, I would say don't worry but if you're like me that won't stop you. What are you having done in the bathroom?
Temperature definitely dropped here, I needed my jacket lunchtime, but luckily only a couple of rain showers, neither at lunchtime
Work was a little  today, I'm off now until next Friday and was desperately trying to get everything done before I left and to quote my manager the idiots were coming out of the woodwork today  I just managed to get a technical document read and commented on before 5pm, I'm hoping any meeting relating to it will be next weekI was wondering by 5pm why I offered to go in next Friday  my sister goes back Thursday and it seemed a good idea at the time
Lunch was going to be smoked mackerel salad but I decided it needed something so brought some YS wraps and put the salad in oneI may take the rest down to my sister and nephew tomorrow. Dinner was frying steak with chimichurri sauce, HM chips, fried onions and mushrooms

That could explain it :rotfl: there was an email sent in 4.45pm which my boss decided after hearing me curse that maybe I better not answer it, I might be a little too honest :eek:Life shrinks or expands in proportion to one's courage - Anais Nin0 -
'morning all, just could not sleep, mind turning over nothing in particular plus sort of sore throat, so I'm up and it is still very dark outside
Pot of tea slurped, breakfast of nuked porridge, banana, honey & HM yoghurt is my next move
Not sure about other meals, much too early to even think about thatEight out of ten owners who expressed a preference said their cats preferred other peoples gardens0 -
Food??? Again??? I have to think about all that stuff and do it again?
Why is it never somebody else's turn?
I'll update later, when I might have a tiny clue what I'll eat today0
