OMG ... that chilli was amazing, blow your head off hot too
I was "good" and only served up half of it.... so, theoretically, there'll still be a portion left tomorrow to be eaten - and I don't mind a bit.
I'll do that one again.... if/when I've ever got that combination of ingredients in the houseI'm out of the mince, out of peppers .... I could make a veggie chilli though, use up some of the frozen veg in the freezer. Have to see how I feel about that in a week or so.... I tend to forget great meals ...

My mother has long since "trained" my father and myself into an auto-response any time she wonders whether to buy something or no of "If you want it - have it".:rotfl:.
I'm normally [STRIKE]dithering[/STRIKE] thinking over the decision and my sister is there 'go on it may not be there next time' in the case of the curtains she was probably right. She's the same whatever we are shopping for, clothes, furniture, car :rotfl: although I did walk away from the temptation of some lovely dark green boots :rotfl: she's more careful with her own money than mine
I did tell her it was a bit of a backward way of decorating getting the curtains firstit doesn't help that the sofa I want is in the shop window and I have to walk pass it on the way to town :rotfl: with its big 20% off sign
Lunch was HM minestrone soup, it needed a crusty roll but I'm trying to avoid bread as it doesn't like medinner was lamb meatballs and braised fennel in a vermouth sauce with rice and green beans, there's LO for another night
PN this time of the year it's getting too cold for none smelly food which is usually cold, I remember really enjoying my first curry in ages after I sold my flat
I'm sitting here thinking of putting the heating on, definitely a feel of autumn the last couple of nightsLife shrinks or expands in proportion to one's courage - Anais Nin0 -

Would a parmesan "crisp" or a pastry crisp work for you?

I know my place as to what to say here - "Yep...go on....put the heating on".
I've had mine on for at least part of the day since the second I walked in the door on coming back from visit to my home city (where it's warmer than here). I make that about 3 weeks it's been on then....
You can guess just how fast I bought a pair of boots I spotted when I was visiting back there - suede calf ones with partial sheepskin linings (surprised at the skimping of only "partial" - ie the feet and the bits that showed) considering they were £175. Thankfully, despite quality skimping - they are indeed comfortable and warm and have been worn several times already.0 -
Cosy sounding boots Money and hopefully they'll last so worth the spend. Heating has been on for spells here to for a few weeks. Still it's supposed to reach 20C here on Wednesday - I hope the forecast is correct:)0

Our sisters must never meet Caronc it could be dangerous for us both :rotfl:
I like the look of the puff pastry crisps I could freeze them raw and them just cook as needed:D of course I need to make room in the freezer first
Following your orders Money, the heating has gone on my hands are cold and I refuse to sit in gloves
Re the boots I don't need new ones I have several pairs, I just fell in love with them and the matching handbag (which I also don't need ) so I'm avoiding the shop for a while, I've other plans for my money, infact there is a long list :eek:Life shrinks or expands in proportion to one's courage - Anais Nin0 -

When I bought here I took AAAAAAges to find/buy curtains - drove 16 miles round trip to collect, I'd managed to order the wrong colour. Spotted in the shop thank goodness.... so home again, ordered the right colour.... repeat journey a week later - got them home, up they went .. hated them
To "dress" the house, kept my eye out at car boots and managed to get a pair for £3, then realised they needed rings/hooks .... which cost me about £9!! They're up now though (needed ironing, but I've no iron/board so tough) ....
I bought a new sofa once, about 30 years ago - loved it. Sold it when I moved 10 years ago ... and yearned for it ever since. Currently on a sofa bought for £40 from a posh house round the corner who were selling up ... it's now shabby though (real/soft Italian leather and it's got sagging back cushions)... plan is to buy similar when I move. Any future sofa will have square cushions, that can be switched around, turned around... these only fit in one spot - and I sit in one spot .... so the other end's immaculate
I think I furnished/"dressed" this entire living room for under £100... it takes patience to wait to discover something that'll "do" at the right price though ...PN this time of the year it's getting too cold for none smelly food which is usually cold, I remember really enjoying my first curry in ages after I sold my flat0 -
I cooled/boxed up the rest of the chilli/rice. The chilli part weighs 310 grams, which is a bit of a short measure. I was working with what I had to hand though, so would've struggled to make it larger as I emptied what was left of the beef mince into the SC, so adding another can of something, and/or another onion and/or the rest of the beans and/or some frozen veg would've made using the beef mince redundant as it would've been outnumbered.
It was gorgeous though - I've been fighting to not eat that second portion....
Done all the washing up (left to my own devices it'd have all sat in soak until tomorrow) ... but I have to keep on top of the majority of things most days now.... which is a bit rotten0
