    Sunny here too.

Did a quick dash to "A" for a loaf of bread, coffee, cheese and eggs - thinking these could be the basis of several meals.

While going round, also grabbed a cucumber (I bet I regret that) and a punnet of plum tomatoes and a punnet of red grapes. Then it was off to the cheesecakes, pack of 3 acquired.

I thought that was it, but when I got home and opened the spread to go onto bread for sandwiches, realised I was nearly out of that ... so it was off to "L" for spread. Also picked up a tub of coleslaw and a pack of crab sticks and some fizzy water (to make fizzy pop with).

Food overload in the fridge .... but that's how it goes. You can't buy everything - and buying just 1-2 extra items can lead to the realisation that you've got enough for 7-10 days in there when you'd really like that choice/selection, but only for 2-3 days :)

I had 2 slices of bread and marg for breakfast.

I should be doing 101 things round the house, estate agent coming first thing Tuesday .... but CBA at the minute. I'll just sit and mentally list some of the jobs, so I know what I should be doing... but aren't.

    Morning all.

It's just starting to come sunny here also, but it's cold! I was extremely glad to have a jacket when I ventured out for supplies earlier!

It was cold overnight as well. I like to sleep with the window cracked a bit (year round if I can tolerate it!), but I woke up chilly at about 2am and had to put the electric blanket on low. It might be time to switch to my autumn PJs soon! I'll see how the next few nights go.

I had my Saturday treat at Costas this morning, which is always very pleasant. There's a branch in the garden centre at the end of my road. I can't help but think the ladies who work there have a rather jammy hour or so to start their day... In the 45 mins I was there, they can't have served more than half a dozen people, and there were 3 members of staff. However, I know from experience that they'll get busy later, which is why I always go in first thing!

The garden centre is on the same site as a Waitrose... Dangerous! It's only a fairly small one, but lovely staff and a nice shopping experience. I wanted a few bits of veg, so just took a £5 note in my pocket and totted up the amount on my phone as I went round! Really wanted some Aero chocolate, but none to be seen, so that saved me a quid! Came out with a YS broccoli, tinned peas, cherry tomatoes and some chocolate mousses. £3.44, which I didn't think was too bad!

Cracked open some grapes from Aldi last night. Absolutely delicious! Some of the nicest grapes I've had in a long time!

Sunny here as well, I may just get a spot of garden tidying done, my dahlias in tubs, from seed, are a poor show this year, so thinking of oiking them out & putting my newly bought daff bulbs in, or I may not if I'm nice & warm stuck into my book in the conservatory

Or I could look through seeds on line with the offers and dream of 2019

After yesterday's leaving do blow out I finished up with a small bowl of HM crumble topped with Greek yoghurt, plus 2 fingers of dark chocolate Kit Kat for dinner.

Breakfast was usual porridge, banana, honey & yoghurt

I keep thinking make a cake, must suppress that, my weight is stable, if high, and don't want to start going the wrong way

Lunch, toasted cheese on toast sounds like a good choice for today, probably add a sliced tom to help the veg count

Dinner is scheduled to be a nuked L's YS chicken jalfrezi

    Good afternoon everyone,

It's turned into a lovely day here- what contrast to yesterday!:)
flubberyzing - I'd be bankrupt if I had a garen centre/costa/waitrose at the end of my road;)
As the sun is shining it's a "use up" salad for lunch, my son is about tonight so I've taken a couple of salmon portions out of the freezer which I'll roast and we can have with roasted peppers & toms and some HM wedges. Not much prep needed so I use my oomph in the garden this afternoon. The forecast isn't great for the next few days so I want to make the most of the dry weather.

    .

Oh it certainly can be!! :rotfl: Hence why I only take cash, so I can't overspend! However, it's terribly easy to be sucked out of the house for a 5 minute walk to Waitrose when you suddenly find yourself craving something!

Lunch for me was a hummus, chicken, cucumber, pepper, tomato wrap. Just using odds and sods from the fridge.

Dinner will be an individual pizza, a leftover half-tin of butter beans, and I'll make a start on the YS broccoli bought today.

Well - I guess you could say I'm "eating a rainbow" at the moment. Lots of vegetables and more vegetables.

So diet main meal at lunchtime today was noodles/stirfry with lots of veggies and some quorn sausages. Been snacking on crudites with Slimming World hummus - so loads more vegetables. I'll just have two slices of toast I'm "allowed" later. SW hummus = not the same as "my" hummus - surprising how much difference it makes not putting any tahini in it and using fat-free yogurt instead (ie not nearly as tasty:().

Fruit - more "colours" - watermelon, aronia berries, plums, chuckleberries, a banana, lemon juice.

Giving myself an incentive by trying on clothes I intend to be able to wear again - like a couple of nice jackets I've got in size 14 (which would now be labelled as being size 10) and a couple of belts. Definitely glad I took clear note of my size/weight/height etc back along. So I know I'm supposed to be 36-26-36. I've definitely come to the conclusion everyone should buy a couple of classic decent quality belts when they are at "correct size" and wear them often enough for the belt to have "marked" where it's normally done up at. The "belt" method of figuring out what's what is rather better imo than scales or a tape measure. Tells myself that trying the belts I've got from "back along" on a daily basis isn't going to result in overnight success:cool::rotfl:

After yesterday's rain and a cold start it's been another warm day day, which means I've got my washing all dried and ironed :D

Took my car back to Kwik F today as the low pressure light came back on, I was told on one wheel my alloy wheel is rusting inside rubbing the tyre so I would need to get it refurbished and they gave me a garage in the next town who would do it, said I could still drive it on holiday just keep the pressure topped up. As I left the light was still on, when I went for petrol the Elite garage was still open so I explained I was worried they checked the tyre which I was told had the problem, no slow puncture, no sign of rust on alloy (I even phoned KF to check correct wheel!) so he topped up the pressure as they were all below what they should be and said all looked ok. So im hoping KF didn't tell me the wrong tyre otherwise it should be interesting couple of weeks  I hate cars and driving at the best of times :o another time a man would come in handy :p

Had breakfast out with my sister today, it was after 10am so probably should call it brunch :D the local farm shop cafe does a good full English, in fact we were a minute before opening and the cars were already queuing in the lane. So no lunch required I'm afraid to say I ignored the fridge contents and had crumpets for dinner with LO grapes and a nectarine. What I can't take with me will be left for my sister to take with her when she comes up to feed the cat, there's not much just 3 egg and some mushrooms :)

Im worried my nervous cat will avoid my sister and nephew so I've told them if they don't see him and they're worried I'll come back before going to Cornwall and fetch him in and he'll have to stay in :o really hoping that's not required they can set the cat flap to in only and trap him in. To my nephews' amusement we recorded my whistle and me calling him in, my sister says it would give my neighbours something to laugh about.

Must get back to finish packing, no internet in Dorset :D May pop in to say hi from Cornwall

MTSTM - would toasted sesame seeds and a dash of tabasco or paprika boost your SW humus without going off plan?

Tabasco sauce = 1 calorie per teaspoon according to Google - so that sounds negligible. Will think on re that.

Sesame seeds though - 8.5 syns per 28 grammes worth according to my 2004 directory (which is a somewhat "generous" amount of Syns - so that wouldnt work:().

Trying to keep up resolution - I can feel a marginal difference already. Ahem...and then I tried on one of my pairs of size 12 jeans and yep....they must be "real size 12" (ie would now be labelled size 8) and they'll go up over my hips but the zip is some inches from closing.

Tomorrow sees me having a DOD - as I'm going to a social event where there will be rather a LOT of food and some of it will be of the tempting-to-me variety. Plus wine flowing freely. Hence a Day Off Diet tomorrow - but must try not to participate too much in the refreshments....

Back to being "virtuous" again Monday.

EDIT; The basic gist of both the Green version of Slimming World and WFPB eating (ie whole-food plant-based = meaning healthy vegan minus the oil) and macrobiotic eating is that they rather share the idea of:
    - lots of fresh fruit and vegetables (apart from avocados)
    - as many (natural) grains as wanted
    - dried beans and lentils as wanted.

Many people on the WFPB diet lose lots of weight - even if they're not actively trying to (so I guess they're not having much of things I like chucking in - like nuts, seeds and tahini). Many on macrobiotic diets also seem to and, when I spent a few days inadvertently on one some years ago I was losing weight without trying even in that time (despite a couple of glasses of wine sneaked in).

So I've got the general idea of what I can "stuff my face with" - basically nutrient-dense stuff - but "flavour" and interest is a bit of a problem. Wanders off bearing in mind real size 12 jeans I want to get back into......thank goodness I'm only about 2 stone overweight...it can't take that long surely....

3 sweeties (end of the bag)
Half a punnet of red grapes
2 sausage rolls with mash that needed using up and spaghetti hoops that needed using up
