Didn't feel so cold here this morning, probably due to the low cloud and rain we had overnight.

I had a few errands to do this morning which took me close to @sda so nipped in there to pick up one of their pizza's for dinner tonight, I haven't had one of them for a while so hoping it's as nice as I remember.

Usual Friday volunteering day we were busy. It was a dry day but got home just before heavy rain, I hope it avoided you Farway.

I'm away at the weekend visiting my sister in the New Forest and we will go down to see the rest of my sisters tomorrow afternoon. My brother and SIL were due to drive down today for a couple of weeks and we planned to have our annual family gathering on Sunday, which we did cancel however my eldest sister had a last minute change of mind but it will be just my sisters, one BIL and my ex SIL meeting up for a quiet couple of hours. My older sisters all in their 80s due to their health issues or my BILs won't be able to go to Yorkshire for my brothers' funeral so my sister wants us to meet up in Dorset. It will be lovely to see them but difficult.

Luch ended up as a bit of cake so I ate my ham, cottage cheese and peach salad for dinner I just added a part baked roll.

Not quite, but the better news is my washing up bowl drip catcher is working, so I no longer need to have towels to mop up the window sill. I can just empty the bowl out of the window, I suppose in true MSE fashion I should flush the loo with it, except I can see me tripping A over T and sloshing water everywhere

Sun's out now and set fair for rest of the day so they say, at least easy driving conditions for Brambling to New Forest, maybe sun in eyes?

Need to finalise the Asda delivery for next week

Lunch today, last of the BLT sarnies

Dinner, think the easy option, posh pie & reheated LO mash

I had a smoothie and a toasted English muffin with Flora for breakfast. I'm making lentil soup for lunch. It is a nice day here, I just went out to drop off some donation bags and I bought a couple of necklaces from an antiques shop.

Another chilly start here, I used the little heater in the lounge for a bit this morning then had the oven on for baking this afternoon so I'm still managing to postpone putting the heating on.

Leftover cold pizza for lunch 😁 and for dinner I have some rice leftover from curry night and have defrosted some prawns, peppers, peas & sweetcorn to do my version of a “special fried rice” 😋

    Good evening everyone,

Late on parade as spent most of the in Glasgow with the kids and DGD.

Manky, cold day here- decidedly on the wintry side and the stove will be getting lit shortly. We shared a couple of deli sandwiches, tasty but the bread was too thick cut for my preference. Fillings were lovely and generous though.

Burgers are defrosted for dinner we'll have them with salad and AF chips.

Blustery again here with showers this morning but dried and brightened up this afternoon, got some towels partly dried on the line. Heating been on this evening so they've finished off on the airer.

Haircut day plus grocery shopping and general catching up but fairly lazy really, have read quite a bit.

LO pizza salad and coleslaw for lunch (snap, N2BT 😀). Pesto salmon, new potato artichoke and capers traybake with green beans tonight.

Dull & grey plus a bit chilly. Very dull sort of weather, ideal curled up with a mug of hot choc later today

Asda delivery sorted, somehow my "cash pot" had got to £12 so I knocked that off the bill. Every little helps. I don't follow the cash pot, bonuses, targets etc, but just buy as normal. I do sometimes use targeted coupons in Waitrose, they seem to target me better than Asda

    Lunch, salad sarnie

Dinner, it's posh chicken & ham pie + LO boiled new spuds "chipped" in the AF. Not sure about veg, open tin of beans maybe?
