Asda delivery first thing, couple not available, including Butter, so i suspect they are not trying very hard to sub the on offer cheap butter with a more expensive alternative. Not that it matters, i have plenty, but the offer was time to stock up and freeze.

Roasting already, lots of salad based meals for next few days, at least all the salad stuff arrived

Lunch, use up LO tuna + mayo + salad bits sandwich

Dinner, when the fridge went down the spuds I had stored in there sprouted, so it's either use or bin. I'm using as mash, with grilled on offer Heck posh sausages and try out the new to me Asda onion gravy granules

Good morning everyone,

Dry and trying to be sunny here. Feels a good bit warmer as well.

Enjoying a quick cuppa before I get myself organised to head out to meet my second cousin at a new coffeeshop for lunch. I've not seen her since the beginning of April so looking forward to catching up.

I've a tub of JO's beef and borlotti ragu defrosting for dinner so just pasta and salad to sort out later.

28/29 degrees by middle of the afternoon here but didn't struggle too much.

Quiche, salad and coleslaw for lunch. I marinade a pork steak in fennel seeds, lemon and herbs and bbq'd it tonight 😋. Served with salad, coleslaw and new potatoes.

Tennis done much earlier than I expected so might sit out with my book for a bit before an early night.

popped into town late morning to pick up my new glasses it was about 29c, took awhile to adjust so one eye wasn't slightly blurry and all evening they have been slipping down my nose 🤓 not helped by being sweaty 🤓😎 I'll have to go back I think, typically sun glass seen ok.

Spoke to another nice lady at the local authority who also has no idea why they aren't invoicing EF and it seems not paying the care home! She is also trying to get someone to contact me about time scales on moving her.

picked up a Swedish cinnamon bun in the Swedish cafe which I had for lunch with a cuppa.

Pear, blue cheese and walnut salad for dinner. I had a voucher for 50%p off certain cheese counter cheese in Waitrose and as I parked there I popped in for two minutes. I also looked in JL at their sale but nothing of interest, just as well as my glasses weren't cheap 🫣😢

Up & out watering by six, too hot to sleep, so decided to use the cool time to water. supposed to be baking hot today, feels hot enough already

Brambling, you may be aware, but it's the Goodwood Festival of Speed this weekend, I had someone from Horsham visit yesterday and saying traffic is already building. Just in case you had a Chichester visit in mind 😱

Lunch, trying a cheapo Asda pasty, only 50P so not expecting much TBH, but reviews sound OK, for 50P worth a try

Dinner, def salad, with LO mash and maybe, on offer, pan fried salmon fillet

Good morning everyone,

Hazy here but it's supposed to burn off as the day heats up.

Had a nice catch up yesterday, the new place is more a traditional café/tea shop but none the worse for that and the food was delicious and very reasonably priced.

CFO as DS2 is off to a wedding, depending on how warm it gets I may or may not tackle some heavier chores while I have the place to myself. LO pasta for lunch and I've a small chicken breast defrosting for dinner, I'll decide later what to do with it.

It is too hot! I have two trips out today, but I'm thinking if this hot weather carries on I'm going to not be able to go out during the day very much as I can't stand walking around in the heat. I texted my massage therapist to change my appointment to early in the morning for next week.

I had a yoghurt and a orange as I'm eating out for lunch soon.

Very hot here, most of the morning was in an air conditioned office though 😉

Second day of roast sweet potato, cranberry, feta and pecan couscous in a lunchbox. BBQd a burger tonight and had with salad, new potatoes and coleslaw.

Thanks for the festive of speed tip Farway I forgot that on, I'm glad I'm not at Petworth on Saturday, when I reminded my sister she did say that was probably why the A27 was busy this morning.

too hot to do much, I did get most of my washing washed and dried.

My sister popped around about 8pm and we cleared the patio so the wi Dow men and builders can do the French doors next week. Unfortunately after brushing up I needed my inhaler, too much dry dust.

Lunch was blue cheese, pear and walnut salad. Dinner very basic pasta with cheese, black pepper and a little garlic, I was cooking pasta for a pasta salad tomorrow lunch and had some left.

Good morning everyone,

Hot and sunny here, due to get a bit hotter than I like though nothing like the temperature in other parts of the UK. I'm heading out this afternoon so it will be plenty of sun screen and a suitably wafty frock and hopefully there's a decent amount of shade.

For dinner last night I marinated the chicken breast in yoghurt, lemon, Greek seasoning, paprika and cayenne before air frying it. I had it with AF courgette and carrot "chips" and chopped salad. There's LOs for lunch. "High tea" for dinner no doubt with some wine.
