Early start again, again too hot to sleep properly, did a bit of essential watering while there is a nice cooling breeze & sun not too hot

Thanks for tips on cooking fresh tuna steaks, mine are frozen and need defrosting first before frying, a bit of forward planning required sometime next week, maybe.

Lunch, fried fake Spam + pickle sarnie

Dinner, more fried fake Spam, plus salad bits & HM potato salad from LO spuds

    Good morning everyone,

Warm and sunny here today. DS2 has gone fishing and hoping for some mackerel so fingers crossed for a fishy lunch. DS1, DIL and DGD are popping by to pick up Frank after they have been to a toddler's birthday party. DS2 has a bivouac shelter so it's up to provide a nice shady area for DGD as the back of the house and garden will be in full sun when they arrive.

I'm thinking East Asian flavours for the tuna might work for me. I'm almost at the end of the mega meal plan I did so will incorporate it into the next one. Doing five weeks worked well for us with very few changes along the way and gave us plenty of variety so intend to repeat. Anything that got bumped will be rolled over but it will be thinking cap on to come up with the next set of dinners. Lunch will hopefully be fresh mackerel. We are going to rotisserie a chook later so dinner will be chicken, salad and new potatoes.
