I just had some bread and Flora. I have the dentist and the hygienist today. It feels much cooler and it is rainy, but it feels nice compared to the heat.
I might have a veggie lasagne too Farway when I get home for lunch.

Another work day flew by and then I have mostly watched tennis 🙃
Quiche, coleslaw and salad for lunch. Fennel, rosemary and lemon marinated pork steak and roasted pepper on the bbq tonight, stuffed into a pitta that I also “toasted” on the bbq, served with coleslaw. I’ve also prepped a couple of days of packed lunches.

There was a little rain this morning but not much, I was glad I did my washing yesterday. Just popped into town briefly to drop off something but was only in there a hour.
Crumpets for lunch, with some lovely rhubarb and ginger jam I was gifted 😋
Egg and cheese salad for dinner

Good morning everyone,
Showery rather than back to back rain today. Yesterday, apart from a very brief interlude mid afternoon, poured all day.
Got most of the admin I wanted done completed yesterday though still to finalise my home insurance. Sorted through the fridge and apart from the end of a bag of past it's best parsley which I chucked in my lunch time soup there was no urgent use ups found. I cooked extra teriyaki chicken last night so will have some of that with LO broth & veg for lunch. Trying a new recipe tonight from JO's Eat Yourself Healthy book - Seared salmon rice. I'll cook some broccoli and carrots to go with it though there's a fair bit of veg in the dish already so wont need masses.

I felt dizzy from having the dentist yesterday so I missed the walk I was going to go on. I had a yoga class and I felt dizzy after that too. I didn't particularly enjoy the class so I won't be doing that again. It feels very muggy here on the walk home which didn't help.
I have had toast, a yoghurt, a peach and some strawberries so far today.

Strange sort of weather here, has looked like it’s about to rain most of the afternoon and evening but only managed a few spots. Long office day today, most of it in an interesting training, so I have mostly watched tennis since getting home.
Chicken and cucumber couscous salad with a lime and basil dressing for lunch. Prawn, pea and red pepper egg fried rice tonight.

I haven't done a lot today some tidying and I went around to friends after dinner for a couple of hours.
Crumpets with cheese and tomatoes for lunch.
FS pork and apple burger with salad for dinner

Forgot to press POST yesterday 😖
Domestic gloom today, my milk turned to yoghurt again & when I went to get some frozen out I found the freezer is defrosting, still working, just not cold enough. I've tried to turn it colder, but it's over ten years old, second hand, fridge freezer so would not be surprised if it is kaput. Luckily I have the newer one from when I was in hospital so main foods will remain frozen, just the opened bag of peas etc that may defrost. It's wait & see for today, sort out tomorrow, I may only need a fridge with the new freezer
Caron Cracking courgette Farway, I can lend you some rain if you want, it's pouring here! I'll have some please, back to watering can lugging here
I need to do some money shuffling as a few accounts are due to mature and also look at home insurance as it renews at the end of July. I've had a few quotes but so far my renewal quote from my current provider is
holding up Im starting to shuffle as well, ISA maturing. My House insurer stopped insuring houses this year, after it was taken over, so I had to move provider. Inconvenient but time will tell, my old one just worked wiht no big surprises, sounds much like yours.Lunch, with the defrost I have a small pork loin "rasher" so I'll grill and have in a sandwich, sort of BLT style
Dinner, likewise I find I own two defrosted sausages. Plus I have LO mash. Bangers N mash + fried eggs

Good morning everyone,
Farway I can give you as much rain as you want!
It's well seeing the school holidays have started here the weather is rubbish though supposed to dry up for a few hours this evening. I've abandoned any pretence of keeping up with the hoovering and mopping with two often three soggy , hairy dogs running about it's a pointless effort! I'm keeping on top of the worst of the casted hair with the hand held and spot mopping as required and that will do until next week when Frank has gone home.
The JO salmon and rice recipe was lovely, definitely on the make again list. There's a small amount of LOs which I'll have for lunch with some salad. Another new recipe tonight - Tomato and greens dhal from Hugh F-W's high fibre book.

Really windy here today but seems to have calmed down now, it had rained overnight too. Busy office day but productive and enjoyable. Was glad of my lunchbox of chicken and cucumber couscous which I ate between meetings.
Salmon, green bean, capers and pesto pasta tonight. Quick and easy 😌
