Overcast & cooler, a nice change, out watering first thing because no rain due until Tuesday, and even then it's a "maybe showers". However I did spot my first Mange Tout pod, no prizes for guessing what is on next weeks menu, need them to fatten up a bit first though

Lunch, frozen Pizza Sub, last of a pack I bought to on offer to try. OK but nothing so special to bother buying in future

Dinner, defrosting a mackerel fillet, having it grilled, with salad

    Good morning everyone,

Another wet and cool one here. Tesco are due later but apart from that I've not much planned. I have a girls afternoon/evening tomorrow so will need to iron a couple of bits and there's the routine chores but otherwise a pottering day. I want to make the base for Hugh F-W's carrot and cashew curry from his new book that we are having on Tuesday. LOs and last of the rotisserie chicken for lunch. Trying this tonight Creamy Spiced Lentil & Pollock Soup With Turmeric Sweet Potatoes | Gousto (ETA using quark instead of clotted cream).

Bit of a mixed bag weatherwise there’s sunny intervals and thundery showers but it still feels quite warm.

I was also disappointed with last nights pizza and definitely wouldn’t pay full price for it.

Feta salad with heaps of veg and pickles for lunch.

Dinner is a Delia recipe that I haven't done for ages, pork belly strips in a bbq sauce.

A lovely sunny, breezy and not too hot day here, two loads of bedding and towels dried on the line. Was awake silly early so quite a productive day. Bed stripped, dishwasher on, washing up done, swim and then straight to supermarket, petrol, tip and home by 11.30.

Early lunch of toasted bagel with cream cheese, avocado and sweet chilli sauce while watching a bit of tennis.

Into town for a few errands and popped into mums for a cuppa.

Just had Chinese pork steak, gingery sweet potato mash and stir fried veg, was lush 😋. LO pork steak for later in the week. Roasted some carrots with cumin and chilli flakes while the oven was on, to make into a couscous salad for lunches.

temperature got to about 24c by the afternoon and a nice breeze.

I had an oops moment today realised my holiday balance wasn't going to be taken directly from card but I had to go into their app and pay, luckily only a day late. The trouble is they send so many marketing emails I lost track of their reminder one! luckily my sister asked me. Two month count down 🙂

My sister and I went to the garden centre this afternoon, she wanted a new pair of shears I wanted a piece of their Bakewell tart 😁 I did pick up a rose from their 'sad' corner I'll see if I water it enough it will survive colour unknown!

    Prawn salad for lunch.

Chicken thigh with green veg for a late dinner

Fresh loaf made overnight in BM, now cooling for lunchtime

    Lunch BLT with fresh loaf

Dinner, TBD but salad bits will feature

It was quite warm yesterday. I had a meetup in the park and I was too hot. I have another meetup today at a cafe and then I'm going to the cinema afterwards. I haven't had any breakfast as I'm eating out for lunch.

Not very nice here at all, misty, drizzly rain and feeling quite muggy, it’s supposed to be heavy rain tomorrow and hopefully that might clear the air a bit.

Last of the tasty IofW toms from m&s in a sandwich using the bakers granary bread, lettuce, salt and pepper - simple and delicious.

I did a quick F&V shop in tesco this morning and picked up some nice chestnut mushrooms, so planning a mushroom stroganoff for dinner and will have some brown basmati rice and air fried asparagus with it.
