Farway they were removing Christmas goodies and replacing with Easter eggs on the 27th Dec in M&S, I may have made a rude comment at the time.

There was frost this morning but a lovely day until I got out of the car at the hospital at 3pm and it's rained on and off since.

i seemed to have lots of chores in and around town today including returning lamps to Argos as I didn't like them 🙄 I'll try again maybe third time lucky? Until then I'll live with what I have.

I made a large pan of vegetable soup lunch time and stirred through some cooked chicken after blitzing, some will probably be frozen as I prefer salads when volunteering.

A large bowl of soup for lunch.

I add a YS Pieminister beef and ale pie in the freezer which I had for dinner, not one I would have again, I checked the box as I thought I could taste red wine in the gravy.  I had with broccoli, peas and new potatoes

I saw Valentines things yesterday in the card shop.

I just had a hot chocolate. I have some mushroom pate that I will have with toast or crackers. I'm making jacket potatoes later with baked beans, cheese and salad.

Raining again, just gloomy and nasty outside.

Not much luck with your shopping Brambling, at least Argos took the lamps back, and Piemaster was YS. Never had one of theirs, way too pricey IMO, but would try YS I guess.

Good news, managed to repair my roller blind chain and re fix, it's even smoother than it was  :)

    Lunch BLT
Dinner, I have taken some YS mince out, so maybe HM burger, eggs & AF chips

A bit grey and damp this morning but it's turned out nice and sunny now.

I had a family funeral yesterday and didn't get home till late. There are very few of that particular generation of our family left so it was nice to catch up with those that I did know and who recognised me.

A quick shop at tesco this morning for some f&v then a quick cheese and tomato sandwich for lunch.

I managed to pick up some ys cavolo nero and will try out the recipe below to have along with pan fried chicken for dinner tonight

    Good afternoon everyone,
I had a more productive day yesterday and despite have a lie in so far so good today - daily chores are done, had a cuppa and a catchup with my sis, back windows have been cleaned and tomorrow's Tesco order finalised. :)
Yesterday I made a pot of celery and mushroom soup to use up some past their best mushrooms. I've just had some for lunch and it's blooming delicious. Tonight we're having JO's chicken with blueberries, slightly faffy but worth the effort.

Cold, grey and damp here today, and misty this evening. Was glad to be in after swimming early evening.

Short walk at lunchtime to get some mushrooms to have with scrambled eggs on toast for lunch.

Lightly dusted sole fillet, HM sweet potato wedges and green veg tonight.

Farway it cost me £1 in Tesco after Christmas I wouldn't pay £5 for one, I've had their chicken and mushroom pie (also YS) which I like but the beef and ale even YS wouldn't tempt me again I would have felt short changed if I paid full price.

Vegetable and chicken soup for lunch.

pork chop in cider with apple for dinner with new potatoes and vegetables

I fell asleep on the sofa last night. I woke up at 2.30 and went upstairs to bed!

I'm just having a hot chocolate. I am meeting a group of women this morning for a meet-up. I have a class later. I will probably get breakfast or brunch while I am out.

    Good morning everyone,
After rain first thing it's now dry and bright though really quite chilly.
My back is grumbling after the chores I did yesterday, too many in hindsight but hey ho so a gentler day planned today. Tesco are due later and I want to prep veg to make soup tomorrow as DS1 & DIL are coming for lunch on Sunday and chicken & rice has been requested. CFO tonight as DS2 is off to Glasgow to collect Frank as we are looking after him for a couple of nights. I've ordered a large chook, I'm going to use the legs for the soup, slow cook the crown and will have the wings for dinner tonight. Lunch will be a mug of soup and LO grains, peas and lentils mix from last night.
