    Dry, but bright grey.

I still have LO tinned corned beef, but really fancy something warming today, I'll have a freezer rummage & see what I can find. I'd like tinned spaghetti on toast, but I know I've no tinned spaghetti, and beans just aren't the same

    Lunch TBD
    Dinner TBD

  • Glad you and your family had a good day Caronc, often informal “do’s” are so much more enjoyable and it's the couples happiness that's the important thing.

I couldn’t be bothered doing any cooking yesterday, just grazed on fruit and “junk” for most of the day.

For lunch today I used the last of a baguette, some ripe brie and cracked open a new jar of cranberry sauce to jazz it up a bit.

Put a curry on cook earlier, it's a bit of a mixture including chicken, b/nut squash, yellow pepper, butter beans and green beans. I’ll leave it for the flavours to infuse and have it for dinner with some brown rice.

  • Slightly more productive day today. Bed stripped and remade, bedroom dusted and hoovered, load of washing on the heated airer, pile of ironing done, tree up and lights on, been for a swim plus helped with homework (polishes aunty halo 😇)

Jacket potato with cheese and tuna mayo for lunch. Prawn saganaki, crusty bread, broccoli and green beans tonight.

Sounds like a good day Caronc 🙂

i woke up this morning with no idea what day it was! Just a moment of panic that I was running late for Petworth, took a few seconds to wake and remembered I watched strictly last night and it wasn't the dance off show so it must be Sunday 🙄

My sister and I went into town after lunch in the hope of getting Christmas presents especially the one which need to be posted.  It wasn't as busy as yesterday.

pork and piccalilli roll for lunch

LO pork roast for dinner so a nice easy p8ng meal

    More grey skies

My freezer came into it's own yesterday after my indecision, frozen RM mac cheese lunch and M & S YS breaded haddock for dinner

Made my mind up for today though
Lunch, fish fingers, must remember to add more to shopping list
Dinner, defrosted chicken plus salad bits

    Good morning everyone,
Yes I'd agree that informal is the way to go. The only moment of stress was untangling non-cooperating balloons lol! Everyone had a great day, folk could come for a long or short as they wanted/could, bring their kids and dogs  and while it wasn't a factor as such in their decision making so much cheaper than a formal event.
Dry but grey and cold here this morning. Thank goodness the high winds and torrential rain has departed.
A very domestic day on the cards as apart for some laundry and making soup I didn't get a lot done yesterday. Tesco is due later with the first of what feels like many deliveries over the next couple of weeks. I really need to finalise my shopping lists and double check that I am as organised as I think I am food wise for the holidays!
Lunch will be a bowl of HM lentil & veg soup. Dinner will be spicy tomato and pepper stew with fried eggs and AF chips.

I woke up late and I'm having sparkling water with grapefruit juice. The soundbath was lovely yesterday.

I'm thinking of having crumpets with Flora and marmalade and then a tin of soup with a sandwich for lunch. I got some leek and potato soup in a tin while I was in Brighton that I haven't tried before
  • It’s a bit overcast here today and sadly cooler again.

I’ve also been making soup for my lunch - curried butternut squash this time.

I need to stop buying and start eating from the freezer for a while as it’s really quite full, once I add today’s soup that will make 5 different flavour combinations in there  :D

For tonight I’m defrosting the last portion of moussaka mix, prepped aubergine and a portion of bechamel sauce all ready to be layered up and popped in the oven.

I volunteered at Petworth today, it was a lot busier than I thought it would be for a Monday. I assume because adults want to come when the kids are still at school?

Pork and mustard roll for lunch.

cold pork, red cabbage and mash potatoes for dinner
